Just looked at the new Boy Scout Manual. Great job, this is going to be Great!
There're all sitting down at Cornwall, writing up their memoriors, for a paperbacked edition of the Boy Scout Manual.
Thanks, much appreciated!
We do hope it will be as successful as 'The Board', but there's still a lot of work to be done yet in uploading the masses of memorabillia that we have access to, so please bear with us, all the hard work in setting up the site and ironing out the technical glitches has been done, although a few housekeeping bits still need to be finally resolved, before the machine is well oiled and squeak-free.
As it says, 'The Manual' is a sister site to 'The Board', so we expect the memorabillia discussions to carry on here and for people to still post their memorabillia images here as before, 'The Manual' will be a home for it all, so it can be located and not hidden amongst some of the great threads that have sprung up here.
Please if you have anything that you think worth adding to The Manual, feel free to either post an image here in the collections threads or send it to The Manual. All contributions gratefully accepted and credit will be given.

For those of you that haven't yet received your message, seen the announcement on Facebook or picked it up elsewhere, or if you're simply browsing our pages as a guest or looking for ideas, then this is to announce that 'The Jethro Tull Board' has now started its progress beyond the confines of sites like Proboards, Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube, all which we've been leading the way on for a few years now, as well as all of our other web incarnations.
It's currently being developed with content being uploaded to be a repository for all things Tull, particularly memorabilia from around the world, charting the history of he band. But, this is just the start, we have more ideas and projects in the pipeline hopefully with others to follow soon.
The Boy Scout Manual is independently hosted and is capable of expansion, we have always planned to take things a lot further than just having a desire to be the largest Jethro Tull chat arena on the web, this is the first step towards making The Jethro Tull Board the best and most diverse fan based Tull board around.
If you're a Tull fan and want to display memorabilla on The Boy Scout Manual, then please get in touch or post it in one of our already very well subscribed threads in The Board's 'Collections' section.
So, there's no time to rest down in Cornwall, this is the place to be and to add your piece to the memoirs of a band we've all loved to listen to, see and collect.

I'm very excited about this website, and I will support it with my visits!
I imagine it's going to be a bit taxing making the most extensive online database for Jethro Tull, but I believe in you guys.
Kai
as long as the mind and body hold out then it might be a long haul but one that, with assistance, we hope will provide a substantial Tull community collection of memorabillia.
You mentioned a possible section for tribute bands, happy to provide a gallery for memorabillia associated with tribute bands, but please do not hesitate to post here. videos of tribute bands should be posted here so that people can discuss them as well as view them.
The manual is capabale of expansion and we have a few ideas as to where that could possibly go in the short and medium term, the longer term needs a crystal ball, but we know a man with one of those and we'll be talking to him later once he's finished at the hospital

I'll be using some some stuff from the thread but will be having it rephotographed or re-scanned. just waiting on the delivery of a A3 scanner and some other new equipment to improve the quality of the images.
Must thank everyone who is sending stuff in, will try to get it posted ASAP, but it will take time but should be worth it, I hope.
If you have anything in the thread that you don't want posted just drop me a line and I will avoid it.

I suppose I wasn't putting into account that there isn't much Tull tribute band "memorabillia" out there.

I think I have an Aqualung guitar/piano/etc chord/note songbook at my father's house in maryland. I'll pick it up next time I'm there (if I can find it) if you need a copyright free picture of it.

Official, Official Recognition!
Sorry uploads have been slow of late, but I've been recovering from some eye surgery and prior to that my eyesight was getting a little worse day by day, making some work on the PC a little bit of a chore.
A few tweaks to be done to the uploading back office of the manual but the good news is that it will commence again soon.
Better news is that loads of material incoming to upload from all quarters.....thanks to everyone on that front, especially Charlie and Darin. Keep it coming folks! always suspected that if we built it they would come....
However,
The best news of all is that it also has formal official recognition from Tull Management as announced today on FB.
Thanks to Ian and James and Tull Management for supporting The Jethro Tull Board's newest venture!
UPDATE - Stats for the site have gone through the roof, so, imagine what it will be like when it is fully up and running. The stas page is pretty sophisticated, very interesting to see where all the visitors are coming from.

Wow, congratulations guys! Should be a successful website indeed.
Thanks Kai, we hope so, that's why there's some investment gone into it so that we can expand it in the future, some ideas for which are already in train. New servers and other equipment being planned so we can fully host it ourselves and who knows what else????
Watch this space though, the fan home of the Tull exclusive, if it doesn't happen here first, it really ain't worth waiting for.
