Just to let you know that uploading is resuming after a major upgrade of ISP speeds [phew! are they fast], supporting servers and hardware.

Thanks to everyone for sending stuff over to me, it will be a true and lengthy labour of love to get this sorted, but I hope it will be worthwhile in the long run.

The site is non-profit making and offered for the purposes of scholerly research, so send even more of your stuff over and I'll get it added with credits.

Greetings all, I am brand spanking new here, so I hope I won't be too terribly beaten up by pointing out to My God, the OP, that the line is actually:

"They're all resting down at Cornwall..."

I'm 47 and have been in love with Ian and Jethro Tull since 1979, and lines like the one referenced are literally etched into my brain, like scripture. Whether it's 'at' or 'in' Cornwall, I can't say for sure, but I hear "in".

Meekly,
Bill

Just looked at The Boy Scout Manual again. The APP programs are incedible. Looking better all the time. A rival to The Board, no, a Great Addition. :( :(

Thanks, there's much more to come, I'll have to make more time to upload the wealth of Memorabillia already in stock and still arriving. We are getting huge numbers of hits, helped by our official recognition by Tull Management on their FB and Twitter pages a few weeks ago.

It will never rival this board though, the large and very active membership here will see to that, plus it was never conceived as a rival, it's very much a sister site.

Huge thanks to everyone who has contributed so far to uploaded material and material waiting to be uploaded. Particularly Derek, Darin, Jim, Dan, Napoleon, and to those who have asked for no credit, which is a pity as they say they simply don't want to be identified for fear of causing upset!

I don't suppose you guys are going to catalog the front covers of A New Day (with David Rees permission of course)?

Thanks William and Kai, we got Dave's permission to reproduce the covers for The Board sometime ago, we do intend to feature them on The Manual along with some of the fan artwork as well.

Yep, The Board has come a long way in a short space of time, and we still have a way to go with lots planned.

My apologies if uploading to The Manual is spasmodic at the moment, still trying to adjust following Mrs Q's illness late last year. but thanks for all the contributions to date (along with the get well wishes), keep the memorabilla coming it will all get uploaded eventually.

Pat

Pat ,

no worries it is looking great. adjusting to Mrs Q illnesss is far more important then worrying about uploading to the Manual. The Manual will get there Pat..

All the best to MrsQ

Thanks, it's getting there slowly.

My apologies to all punters who visit the site, I thought it would be easy uploading bits here and there along the way. We've been inundated with stuff and many of our resident members here have shared parts of their fantastic collections for general perusal.

Unfortunately like Jeff, but in my case due to some work, arsey neighbours and personal pressures,I've been tied up and I've been a bit slow in getting stuff up on site so please bear with us, it will happen.

Huge debt of thanks to all contributors so far, from the board and many other places but especially to Derek P, Darin, Douglas, Jim, Barry.....the list is endless, thank you.

and please feel free to continue to share.

Thanks to Tull Management for posting the details on their FB and Twitter feeds and moreso for using the background art on the current tour backdrops. It made an old man very happy.

Nice work! Please don't take this as bitching....perhaps constructive criticism. ;) I was checking out the tour programs - is there any way to enlarge the pics bigger so you can read the text? While you're at it, does the BSM watermark need to be so large on each pic?

Thanks for your support and comments, Constructive criticism always welcomed.

As regards the tour programmes that's not possible at the moment, although that will change as I am talking to the web designer about a range of things that Derek Pith and I have discussed and it does include getting the tour programmes [and larger images] to open in another separate window so they can be read or viewed more easily.

We have both just invested in A3 scanners so images will be even better.

Yes, I agree, the logo/watermark is too large and the request is already out there to reduce its size and opacity. It will be done.

Derek and I are also discussing expanding it even more hopefully.....news to follow soon!
