Believe it or not I woke up this morning with Ian singing "fray bentos pie, always a wiiiner" in my head. It still is there.
Otherwise One Brown Mouse has been rattling around in there...

The Tull song for today, It all Trickles Down. Maybe I was thinking about Reaganomics or something.

Funny thing, every tax break I ever got was lost to Reaganomics, and as I was going to work today, shifting gears, pretending my 97 Honda Civic was a real sports car; I was listening to Motor Eyes. It stuck all day, and has not stopped yet. Luckily I did not encounter any of NC's finest on the way.

I sometimes get little flute motifs or riffs stuck in my head... not that it's a bad thing!

"Elegy" from Stormwatch goes through my head from time to time, which is a lot more pleasant than a lot of the other stuff it gets stuck on. (Snippets of commercial jingles, etc.)

Egads, man! I think you just quoted A TULL SONG I'D NEVER HEARD OF BEFORE!!! Wow!
I have Catfish from the original CD I bought back in '91, so I never knew about the bonus tracks. I just looked "Night In The Wilderness" up on YouTube.
Thanks! It's very "Catfishy"!

What? ANOTHER? Wow. I guess I'm just not as up to speed as I thought I was. Back to remedial Tullology class for me.
Try my luck on another day Must be thick as two short planks – That’s about all that I have to say.

The song that's been dancing around my head of late is Confessional.
I made my millions, stashed the pile in Swiss bank havens, lost the lot when Inland Revenue got wise. So, I did my time, my time for what?

I had TAAB2 on such heavy rotation over the last month, I had to take a break from it for a little while. Love it, of course. Of the songs on that album, "Adrift and Dumfounded" is probably the tune that sticks in my head the most, though I also find myself whistling "A Change of Horses" quite a bit.

I know this is a surprise but as always song that haunts my daylight hours by Tull is still"Rainbow Blues",that and Zep's "Rover" are the two songs that make my day/get it going whether in my head or actually on the radio/my choice stereo.Primal Scream by the Crue can always round out this soundtrack with a kick ass bass line as it did on my recent visit to Martha's Vineyard(sorry mom!)though she is a Tull fan and actually puts up with the rest of my music selection fairly well!

I've two running simultaneously for the past few days, and upon reflection they work as bookends, of sorts:
1. The spoken line "what-ifs, maybes and might-have-beens fly soft petals on a breeze."
2. Once it seemed there would always be a time for everything. Ages passed I knew at last my life had never been. I'd been missing what time could bring. Fifty years and I'm filled with tears and joys I never cried. Burn the wagon and chain the mule. The past is all denied. There's no time for everything. No time for everything.
Repeat 'what-ifs' line...
Repeat 'A time for everything'
Fade out.

Today it's Life's a Long Song, but the tune ends too soon for us all.
