Oops. I need to update a lot of stuff, as I can't seem to link to my facebook profile photos yet.
Can anyone please tell me if my American laptop (all of them seem to have a "transformer" so to speak) will need anything else beside a plug converter. I would prefer to not burn out my main source of communication with the nursing home here. Have decided to try some travel to England while I can, before I need to start paying rent next year. pam

Hi to all the friends just back from hols, and also to the ones which remained at home.. I bought the ticket for the Christmas Concert in Manchester next 19 December. Is anyone from the Forum going to see Ian there ? It would be good to meet to know ourselves.. M.

Hi Chea,
Welcome back to the Board.
I'm going to Canterbury on the 10th. I think there are a few other board members attending Manchester and Salisbury shows.

Also intending to go to the Canterbury show, I'll be on the doorstep of the Canterbury Gift shop when they open on the 19th.
Just hoping the weather is better this year, I had tickets for last year's show but the roads were so icy where I live I only got about two miles down the road before I gave up and went home
I work only yards away from the cathedral, I'll camp out in the office if need be this year!

Good luck, hope to see you there!
I went last year, just made it through the snow but wouldn't want to miss this years extravaganza.

Hi Quizz Kid. I never left the Board, indeed. Nearly every day I read something from it. I hope more ahead some other Board members will decide to go to the show. I also have the ticket for this week one in London, Union Chapel, but i have unfortunately a problem to go... . My daughter begins University near there, but I have no time enough to reach London.

Sorry to hear that about the gig, it would have been good to meet up. I might know someone who might be interested in the ticket. PM me.

Got my Canterbury tickets this morning decided to queue at the shop door, so am now on first name terms with the window cleaner and had a good long chat with a retired couple who were buying tickets for their daughter (although the lady was a keen Alice Cooper fan!). I was surprised to be the first one there (08:45) but there were people turning up an hour later, surprised that there was a queue I confess I allowed myself a brief moment of smugness
Hope to see a few of you there. Maybe a pre-show beer will be in order

Perhaps 2 Goblins or a rum and coke? I wonder what Sir Bruce Dickinson would prefer?

Nothing says Christmas like this. I'm wishing for Ian to visit my Cathedral someday. This one is in Durham, North Carolina. Duke University would love it too.

Hi to all !! Ian, has added two date for the Concerts of Christmas in my Country. 21 and 2 December. The gains come devolven in beneficence for precise wanting of the same Ian Anderson. The proceeds of the first evening, to the restoration of an ancient Church to Piacenza, while those of the second one, to Nave, near Brescia, towards humanitarian missions abroad . Great, isn't it ? Together with Ian, Florian and John O' Hara. An acoustic Concert. M
