Hi to all !! Ian, has added two date for the Concerts of Christmas in my Country. 21 and 2 December. The gains come devolven in beneficence for precise wanting of the same Ian Anderson. The proceeds of the first evening, to the restoration of an ancient Church to Piacenza, while those of the second one, to Nave, near Brescia, towards humanitarian missions abroad . Great, isn't it ? Together with Ian, Florian and John O' Hara. An acoustic Concert. M
You lucky man!
Hi TM. This is a good occasion to see another Christmas Concert of our favourite band. Unfortunately I' m not sure to be able to attend at them, simply because I have the tikets for the Concert at the Manchester Cathedral two evenings before. . I think there is not time enough to be back. . It's a pity also considering that Piacenza is 30 minutes driving from where we live. I will try to plan everything anyway. M.
Good, would have been nice to catch up and meet up.
As it happens I may have a couple of tickets spare, if anyone is interested [especially Lord Stoyne-Stoyne, who drops by ocassionally] then send me a PM.

Unfortunately I couldn't get to the Canterbury gig tonight but by 'Kind permission of', tonight's set list for the 'Ian and friends' Canterbury Cathedral gig has been up on our Facebook page since around 7.30 pm GMT.
Sorry I couldn't manage to link to add the mage here via ipad but if anyone can copy it to post it here on the board I would be grateful.
Now, more than ever, The Jethro Tull Board kicks ass!

Unfortunately, Pat was unable to make Ian's Canterbury Christmas show Saturday night, which featured Justin Hayward of the Moody Blues and Bruce Dickinson of Iron Maiden, but he was able to get ahold of the setlist for the show.
Interesting to see son-in-law Andrew Lincoln take a break from zombie-fighting to do one of the readings! Also, it is my understanding that, despite the indication to the contrary, Anna Phoebe was not present.
And here's a video from the show, posted by youtuber Aimeemumdad:

Will post a review of the Manchester Cathedral show soon after Monday
I will be there ,too with my daughter, but unfortunately I won't be able to post any comment about, because the following day we will be already on voyage for the Christmas hollidays. I will be reading your interesting reviews when we will be back. M.

Yes Bruce did seem a little underdressed but that in no way detracted from his performance and they all seemed to enjoy themselves immensely, especially Ian who danced down the aisles on more than one occasion
Anna Phoebe was not there, she had started contractions earlier that day apparently. John O'Hara was also missing having just had an unexpected hospital visit. Ian also paid tribute to Jon Lord who had originally signed up for this but had been taken ill with pancreatic cancer, he wished him well.
Interestingly, when one of the clerics introduced the opening of the show he said that Ian had specifically requested that he note that this was in no way a Jethro Tull show (but added that Ian runs a rather good tribute band).
I found the whole gig spellbinding from start to finish. I sat about 10m from the stage, the venue was just awesome, the musicians all excellent - maybe not rehearsal-polished but personally I feel that the odd slips by the guest performers just added to the uniqueness of the night. Both my friend and I were speechless by the end of Locomotive Breath and Bruce's powerful vocals made my hackles rise more than once during the evening.
'My God' coming straight after the prayer was a masterstroke IMO
Having taken notice if the 'no photographs/mobile phones' instruction on the ticket I didn't get any pictures but there were plenty ignoring that thankfully - a few videos have been appearing on Youtube as you have seen. Someone did come round once telling off the people with cameras but they just carried on a few minutes later
Given the various factors involved I had anticipated that this would be a special experience but it waayyy exceeded my expectations. More please
