Down and Out In New York City - Gov'T Mule
When a cold wind comes in New, New York City And the street's no place to be but there you are So you try hard or die hard No one really gives a damn to try hard And to die hard, no one give a damn And a damn boy give me a shine, boy, ha!

Please Stay by Warren Zevon, from his final album The Wind.
Will you stay with me to the end? When there's nothing left But you and me and the wind We'll never know till we try To find the other side of goodbye.

Bottoming Out - Lou Reed
I'm cruising fast on a motorcycle down this winding country road And I pass the gravel on the foot of the hill Where last week I fell off There's still some oil by the old elm tree And a dead squirrel that I hit But if I hadn't left, I would've struck you dead So I took a ride instead

The Sabbath Climax. I also wonder how these gems have been ignored until today by all of us
Warning - Black Sabbath
Now the first day that I met ya I was looking in the sky When the sun turned all a blur and the thunderclouds rolled by The sea began to shiver and the wind began to moan It must've been a sign for me to leave you well alone I was born without you, baby but my feelings were a little bit too strong
Behind The Wall Of Sleep - Black Sabbath
Feel your spirit rise with the breeze Feel your body falling to its knees Take your wall of remorse Takes your body to a corpse Takes your body to a corpse Takes your body to a corpse Sleeping wall of remorse Takes your body to a corpse
Sleeping Village - Black Sabbath
Red sun rising in the sky Sleeping village, cockerels cry Soft breeze blowing in the trees peace of mind, feel at ease

THE FAREWELL
Mr Moderators, you must have also closed this thread as you have exactly done with the rest ones, to make things properly and, as it being an original thought absolutely mine, started a 28 of January day of this same year (check the details out on the first page of this thread if you’re still doubting) I also call for closing right now the Christmas thread and please that anybody never run the workable future ones, fair deal, is it?
Have all a good christmas time, a happy new year and plenty of health for life. And to say good bye quite a lot accurately like I started this enjoyable idea off that day, here it is a display rather linked to my current mood. .
A sad statement but needed for me although a happy day for someone else. Take care Amigos.

Serge
I sent you a PM explaining the rationale after you complained via the reported post route.
As I said then, it seems a little perverse to be running threads related to periods from several months ago and have a range of themes running concurrently, and so not to confuse matters or bury current posts and themes, I suggested we lock older threads until those months return, at which time we can either re-open the original theme or start a new theme.
I don't see this as anything other than reasonable 'housekeeping', However, and I speak for myself and not the board in this part, if you think this is enough of an issue for you to leave, then, using an old expression, I think 'you may have thrown the baby out with the bath water' in your over-reaction.

JUST CLOSE THIS THREAD, PLEASE !!
Janu,
The idea is that if we are to have monthly topic threads, with a different topic thread for each month, then the thread should only be open for that particular month. When the month ends, and the next month begins, we go onward to the next monthly topic!
I don't see the sense of having a monthly topic for, say, January, and then continuing to post in the January thread all throughout the year. If we do that, then people will be confused about what the current monthly topic is, and the "monthly" topics will no longer be monthly.
No need for farewells from good friends over something so silly

Pat's words on his last message:
"Serge
I sent you a PM explaining the rationale after you complained via the reported post route."
Pat, in all honesty, there aren't any pm on my messages desktop or in anywhere else, so I am a liar, you're suggestin'. I can swear I have not any. I'm quite a lot disspointed everything has lately happenin' and much more after having your request toward Remy and me a few days agos to come back on the subject themes finally acceptin' other than to check that all threads were blocked except the Winds one, and I wonder why this not? Rather queer !!
@Jeff, are you labelling me such a silly guy after all I have done for this web all these last three long years around? Are you paying me like this? It's rather amazing and unfair at the same tima all what you have stated here today, you are not in a good shape, you really need some more vacations time for gettin' better and so recalling wider all what has been said here during this last year on subject threads.
And if you're still thinkin' I'm behavin' in such a silly stand, it'd better all of you reading this sentence thrown by Charlie or Derek when life was so freshin' on these sites so much affable to discuss in :
I think we should continue the threads, so we can add the wind songs when ever we find them. My brain is in slow motion most of the time and I am sure I will think of some more. It would be ashame if we did not post them. So I think we should keep these threads open.
What do you think.
I've never been a resentful guy but I'm still keepin' an elephant's retentive memory. On my last Sunday post on Rain thread I was thinkin' doing things all right according to previous Derek's settlement yet it wasn't as expected after checkin' your actions.
The last settlement is yours, my dear moderators, to delete or not delete (William Shakespeare) this thread right now according to same thing you did with others, if you don't agree with all my exposure here and now you'd better also deleting my account on this Board. That's your choice. After all of this said here I still believe I was never over-reacting about it, I was just fightin' what it was worthing for.
And to say good-bye I'm going to do something I was a long time thinking about doing, was just showing a pic from very early 70's years exposing my father, me and my ever Tull fan beared brother, the same person who developed on me this Tull lively fever.

Serge
No, I am not suggesting you are a liar, but then neither am I a liar, I sent a PM on the 11th December 2011 at 4.48PM
I will send the content over to you via PM again.
Once again this has blown up out of all proportion and publicly on the board despite having a perfectly manageable PM system here as well as links on FB and in other ways.
No one is opposing what Charlie suggested in his comment, in fact the threads, along with the prog rock threads are so popular, why would we drop them?
But I'll say it once again, the threads were locked, they have not been archived, deleted, moved to a private area or censored in any way, it was just a simple approach to housekeeping to prevent a confusion of threads. As I said, they can be reopened when that month comes around again or they could be restarted. it is simply to avoid a plethora of youtubes swamping the board at any one time.
No-ones deleting accounts or banning anyone over this. Please let's get this in proportion.

Janu, of course I recognize all of your contributions on the board, and our friendship over the last few years. Please remember that I was trying to talk you out of leaving, and that's obviously because I enjoy your posts and participation on the board!
I wasn't suggesting that you were silly, only that the argument that was going on struck me as a little silly because to me it seems like a minor issue. The idea behind locking the threads was to focus on each monthly topic fully, then move on to the next one.
Look, this shouldn't be such a big deal. The decision to lock those threads is not carved in stone and can be reversed, since it is important to you guys. I want everyone to be happy here, so we will re-think this whole thing.

Perhaps to clear one thing up a little (and information for all board users in general), I have had at least one experience when the PM system didn't send the message through successfully (the other party later confirmed they received no message). There have also been a couple of other times it may not have worked, or people may just not have responded (which is okay).
If this is the case, I don't know how much you can do about it in a proboards format other than report it. (its been a while since I've used it) We may have to keep in mind our PMs may not work 100% of the time, and be aware of misunderstandings that may understandably cause.

Cheers Kai, thanks for that, I never realised that there were issues with the PM system, if that is the case then I can see how misunderstandings can occur.
