Chook, butthole surfers were sort of one of those pessimistic 90s bands that had a taste of fame riding off of the grunge movement, even though they were from Texas, not Seattle. They had a hit song in the US called "pepper" which is an okay song, but not reminiscent of what most of the band's repertoire is. I've always found them very cynical, gross, and a little depressing, but there is something to be said for that. "Independent Worm Saloon" is the album I would recommend to look up on YouTube. Here is a song that reminds me of ministry
At least vocally.
Saboton is awesome. I am also fascinated with European history.

During the summer of 1994, my 15 year old son Jason suggested we go see these guys in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. It helps to have a young person teach you new ideas.

i suppose so =P maaan, I have brainwashed my dad to listen sooo many metal bands... its crazy (while my folks has introduced me to some rockabilly and classic rock). We have also went to so many metal concerts together. He's almoust in his 50's, yet he can still bare with my "hey lets go line up 10 hours before the gates open for iron maiden show" -kinda crazyness and always barges straight to the front row with me =P Thats how we roll.

No F*cking Texting During Iron Maiden! Begins at 15 second mark to the 23 second intro Iron Maiden performing "Wasted Years" live @ Klipsch Music Center in Indianapolis, IN. Recorded live on 19th July 2012 Every time we go to a concert, we hope that we'll lock eyes with the musicians and they'll notice that we're there (or that they'll pull us onstage, like a mid-1980s Courtney Cox). But the fan that Iron Maiden's Bruce Dickinson spotted had to be humiliated after the metal frontman called him out for 1) being bald; 2) texting for "the past three songs"; and 3) for being a wan…well, put your own impolite euphemism here. Iron Maiden then launched into a blistering version of "Wasted Years," (Dickinson's track-opening rant has some NSFW language) but we're more concerned by the wasted ticket that was spent on — or bought by — Mr. Bald Texting Dude. http://now.msn.com/iron-maiden-lead-singer-scolds-fan-for-texting
