Thanks, that's really interesting stuff, would love to hear some more stories like that. Ian sure is a strange character.

My wife and I just bought a Nook color and I was browsing the rock biographies in the Barnes & Knoble online store and came across Tony's book. I added it to my wish list, but I think I'll definitely buy it now. Wow, it seems that Ian was quite the task master even way back then.

I checked out those pages at a library just about a month ago, too. I completely get a kick out of Ian's sarcastic aside on Clapton to Tony. So funny, so snarky.

Definitely an interesting read. Funny writing style. I just might get it if I come across it someday ;D
Thanks so much for the uploads!

I'm getting the Nook version of this, unless it is loaded with rare pictures. I still haven't figured out if pictures are available in Nook versions. I've only read novels so far in that format.

That was around the time that Ian really took over the band in all aspects. I'm new here, but has there been a thread yet about Ian's unceremonious dumping of original bassist Glenn Cornick? He remains my favorite Tull bassist to this day, and if his version of events was factual, Ian was quite unfair to him.

The way Glenn got the sack was completely classless. Then again, IA did the same to Mssrs. Evans, Barlow and Palmer about 10 years later.
