If you don't have The Meeting and Stage Left then it's definitely a worthy addition.
I bought it for the 3 new songs which I've listened to two of them twice now and really enjoy.
The first new track "Next Steps" is the only track in which Martin rocks with the electric guitar. No keyboards and backed by (my guess) bouzouki and acoustic. It's one of Martin's best instrumental's IMO and one you can easily 'get lost' listening to.
Next is "Warren" which is acoustic based piece and again no keyboards. Lead instrument might be the bouzouki but I'm not totally sure. But a fantastic track that has a section reminiscent of Budapest.
The last track is "Silk Ties" which is a nice blues based shuffling acoustic track. And yes, you guessed it, no keyboards.
These three tracks remind you just how good Martin is and what sets him apart from the typical axe-man.
edit - I might be hearing a hint of Hammond organ on Next Steps...
Please don't tell me I'm the only one that bought this record.
I have not ordered mine yet. Since I have "A Trick of Memory", "The Meeting", "Stage Left" and 2 live shows with Willie Porter, I tend to hope for new material.

I haven't...yet. Money still so tight and some fairly irresponsible behaviors last month, too many pizza's being one, likely not til next month for Martin. If I thought his financial or psychological well being was contingent upon Ray buying it, I would have yesterday. I already know I will like it, I sure think Stage Left is by degrees the best of the lot, but they all have merit.

I bought 6 copies to share with friends. I, too have all of the albums, just as I own every Tull/Anderson album and then some. Martin's work is great, and worth the cost and more. Live material is great, and the three new tracks are fantastic. Buy it!

Yes! I was listening this morning as I was driving - had it turned up loud. Misere is a great great piece of music! Martin is so damn good.

I've been a Dregs fan since the 70's and have always enjoyed the compositions much more than the obvious shredding, that, I might add is used in a much more musical way than most of the shredders out there. Focus was another. Anyway I'd always (since the 70's) thought that Martin should take THAT out on his own. I love his instrumental stuff and I think thats his strong suit, featuring his song writing and guitar. He knows how to mix things up enough to keep it interesting and with the right players (Pegg!, Barrie is looking for a gig.... and maybe Martin Alcock to cover keys and guitar) He'd have as winning a gig as an instrumental outfit can get. Maybe more. He has a built in audience. Anderson had it right (in the AND interview) suggesting to Martin that he not get a singer that becomes a focal point and that he moves to center stage. I love Martin and wish he was doing less Tull tribute (of course do a few Tull songs in the way he always has as instrumentals) and more hot Martin!!! And to answer your question Paul, yes I have! (only one copy though) Darin Cody

I have to admit that I was disappointed to see Martin take a back-seat to Willy Porter on tour and according to Ian he did the same with the female vocalists.
I believe that Martin should 'walk into light' and focus on his own interpretations of Tull songs (like Protect & Survive) and his own material. People are there to see him, not someone else singing Tull songs.

I am still waiting for my copy, I sent an email with my pay-pal invoice to the Martin's site and I have gotten no reply or my CD. I sent it to them on July 17 or so. I am very disappointed that I have received nothing
I sent a copy of my invoice from pay pal to Martin web site....no reply
Thanks sucks Charlie.
I sent Martin an email a while back to let him know that his music player wasn't working properly on his website, and I see that it's still not functional.

Hey how about this, he not on TAAB2 because he didn't respond to Ian's e-mail about session. Calm down, just a joke. Hopefully it shows soon.
