An absolutely fantastic achievement.
I raise my hat and give a huge virtual slap on the back to every single member that's joined over the last couple of years and pushed us beyond the 1000 member mark.
The speed at which The Board has hit the milestone 1000 member mark has been pretty impressive as well, it's less than 3 years ago that The Board was set up and in that short space of time has become what is without doubt the liveliest and most fan-centric board around. No slow-burn suburbia here.
"The do-er and the thinker, no allowance for the other, as the failing light illuminates the mercenaries creed." Boxes come and boxes go, you need the cash or be in the know.

Congratulations to everyone.
I also subscribe what Pat has stated to. After having lived by myself these two long years around here I'm also feeling this great satisfaction as a mine. Congratulations to all and the achievements don't ever stop here and now on this genuine place.
And thanks to all our members for making this the best Jethro Tull site on the web!
So, who is our 1000th member?
I believe this happened between midnight and 2:00 a.m. if someone can verify. Also, a warm welcome to Pigme whom is 1001 if I am correct. Another warm welcome to 123456789101112. Our 1002 member.
Thanks to everyone's kind words for this unusual effort. I really had no master plan. It just evolved along the way. As we look to the future, we must always be open to new ideas. I always wanted to countdown a launch for NASA. This was even better. Mars is coming next week!

Wow! Check out the Earth 1006 members and counting. I can see Remy, Serge, and the Tullianos! There goes Michele and the ITullians too! Officials at the European Space Agency (ESA) announce that the organization has just handed over control of the third Meteosat Second Generation satellite (MSG-3) to the European Organization for Exploitation of Meteorological Satellites (EUMETSAT).
The vehicle is currently perched on a geostationary orbit, some 36,000 kilometers (22,370 miles) above the surface of the planet.
