Paul, You must be joking. Did you miss anything? I have become a HobGoblin drinking Tull fan since Sunday night thanks to Sir Beastie. My next encounter with the Goblin will be on Saturday evening prior to a performance by Chris Robinson of The Black Crowes. I still love Bacardi and Coke, but the Goblin speaks to me. It tastes like a 1972 concept brew. My future posts may be under it's classic rock influence. Flannagan's Irish Pub in Asheville, North Carolina

Really hope after a rest the Crowes reform and hit road again.Saw them many times, also with Jimmy when they only were doing a show in N.Y.and one L.A(cross country tour later due to demand).,last minute hit Worcester($0 minutes from Boston) in between, one off gig totally unexpected planned, the strange part was Robert Plant was at orpheum that night(boston),JonJones doing a gig in some Boston bar,was really hoping the stars had totally aligned, but was not to be,could have been a single night of R&R history for the books!

Jethro Tull Returns with ‘Thick as a Brick’ Tour, ‘Aqualung’ Deluxe Reissue
Jethro Tull‘s Ian Anderson is offering fans a rare treat next year — he’ll undertake a world tour and perform the No. 1 album ‘Thick as a Brick’ in its entirety for the first time since 1972.
That news has taken some fans by surprise. The front man and founder of Tull, who introduced the flute to rock, had told Acoustic magazine that he knew fans were clambering for “Thick as a Brick,” but he didn’t see himself performing it again.
“Yes, they’re after ‘Thick as a Brick’ – part 2, but I just don’t feel that I want to do that kind of thing,” he told the magazine in 2007. “While it was a lot of fun doing that kind of music back in 1972 and ’73, I’ve never really liked rock or loud music very much and while the more extravagant arrangement of things are challenging and fun to play, they are not so fun for the poor ol’ punter to have to listen to and I can’t escape the idea that the best songs I’ve written are four or five minutes long rather than half an hour long.”
No word yet about what changed Anderson’s mind, but it is known that the tour will begin April 2012 in Great Britain, before expanding to the rest of Europe and then heading to the U.S. in the fall.....

Jethro Tull star taking his brick back on the road
While busy with a string of highly anticipated UK acoustic shows, former St Annes musician Ian Anderson has announced he be hitting the road again in April next year for a 19 date UK tour commemorating the 40th Anniversary of his band Jethro Tull’s 1972 Billboard number one album Thick As A Brick.
The band’s chart-topping record will be played in its entirety - as initially recorded - for the first time since its original tour in 1972.
Thick as a Brick was a concept album based on a poem written by a fictitious 10 year old boy Gerald Bostock – in reality Anderson himself, who wrote both music and lyrics.
It only featured one seamless 45 minutes long track, although it was split to accommodate the album on vinyl and cassette. It reached number five in the UK charts.
Tickets for the tour went on sale yesterday.
Thick As A Brick – Whatever Happened to Gerald Bostock promises to be a once-in-a-lifetime musical experience, rediscovering a timeless milestone of progressive rock. The performances will also incorporate video projection and other theatrical elements.
Ian Anderson said: “I never thought I would do this music again in its entirety but, over the last couple of years, I have grown to rather like the idea and the prospect of a Prog moment of profound excess.
“The question is: will I now become filled with some dark and nefarious need to take this murky, anal business further? You never know..... “
Anderson will be joined by John O’Hara on keyboards, David Goodier on bass, Florian Opahle on guitar and Scott Hammond on drums....
Hi TM, how are you? I am going to buy my ticket for the Oxford's show in Mai. I believe to be attending to a fully dedicated show to one Album, it will be interesting , Do you? May i get a preview concerning guests on stage ? M.

I am seriously thinking about incorporating a UK trip with Ian's Thick as a Brick tour. Are there any of our members/friends who live in the UK and could recommend where on the tour would be the best places to both see the concert, and stay for lodging? I've been to London, but would prefer to get out of the city and see some new sights! Your suggestions would be appreciated. Phil "The Whistler"

Hi Michele,
I think this show is a "must-see."
In fact had it been a Jethro Tull tour, I had pictured it to be performed on a larger scale than past shows.
