 Tull Plates
« Thread Started on Aug 3, 2011, 11:09am »

Greetings Hard Core Tull Fans.
I hope this thread is not too cheezy for anyone who likes Tull but doesn't drive a car (Ian). I have scanned my 3 vehicle license plates to share with the world. This isn't as bad as it sounds but if anyone else has a way to join in the fun, please do. Remember if the law is after you, don't send any current images. Most states try to recover these if you don't turn them in, but somehow these were saved from certain destruction. Even duplicates are good from other states or countries. Crank up your car and push in your quad 8 track or cd player.

Remember don't drink and drive, these plates attract attention.

Nice Jim!

I never had a Tull plate but I do have a pic somewhere of one of my buds.

I'll see if I can find it and post it.

if anyone is wondering aloud, the number 90 is the 1990 tull budget uk tour, smaller venues that they played back in the early 1970s, martin was in charge of driving duties and dave pegg catering liquids i think and back stage passes, he never did give me one

Okay Tull Fans, this is my only custom made plate which anyone can do at the mall.
Just ask someone who knows how to center the letters so they don't have holes poking through.
This plate will only be used in front due to legal issues with the state.
After several years of collecting bugs and road objects it was retired and cleaned with glass cleaner. ::) [image]

Remember, don't put this on the back of your vehicle, unless you are an officer of the law. :o ;D ;D

That was a great present, Liz, and I'm sure Gary felt like he was almost a member of the band, driving around with that license plate!

Hey, Gary!

I remember the program for that tour. It came right on the heels of the U.S. Rock Island tour, and if I am not mistaken they played a great set list.

I didn't know that it was a low budget tour with Martin driving everyone around. It's too bad you didn't get a backstage pass from Pegg, though.

In honor of Randy and Kathy Drosche, I feel it important to post this pic from 1993 in Raleigh, N.C. This was the first time I met them during the 25th anniversary tour. They knew how to have fun and were not too shy to have a Tull plate on their van. I had never seen one before this day in August '93.

Rock 92 is one of the few FM stations left that play any Tull in their Classic Rock Format. I told the DJs that they were my favorite station so I got this as a gift. It only looks good next to my retired Tull Plates. [image]
Jethro Tull Radio has nothing to fear.

You are never too old for this plate. It may be something we all want on our vehicle someday.

Really not hard to find these at a convenience store or gas station.

Here is the new Tull Plate from My God.
After several attempts he was able to scan this as a file to send me.
Since this is an official license plate in North Carolina, it is the only one of it's kind that is active.
My God........First in Tull ::)

Julie Barre ( Martin's wife ) was often seen driving around Exeter in Devon in a Mercedes SLK with the licence plate J 7ULL

Last time I saw it was outside the Palace Theatre in Torquay at a TULL gig a couple of years ago
