I had the opportunity to meet Mr. Anderson and crew back in about 1970 just slightly ahead of the release of Aqualung. It was the second of four shows I saw in that decade. I got to speak with most of them for some time... in one of the shots, Clive Bunker posed backstage for me. The show was in a very small college gymnasium in a very small college town that I'm quite sure was unprepared for what it was about to experience. Here's a collage of some of the shots I took that night.

Nevermind. Apparently, the system won't accept my upload.

Perhaps my own web server WILL... well, OF COURSE it will... but the Host It button seems to be broken as well. Sorry for wasting your time.

Midiman, We'd love to see them, how are you trying to upload them to here, are you doing it via a link to an image hosting site like photbucket or imageshack or a link to your own website?

I tried to use the upload option in the original post. Then I uploaded the graphic to my own web server and tried the "Host It" option... that didn't bring up anything. Hovering over the Host It button doesn't even change the pointer to a finger. It's not a link to anything. However, some old fashioned BB code seems to have solved the problem.

Nice Midiman, thanks for posting them. You have to tell me about your moniker. I used to mess around with midi, but not in many years. PS - Welcome to the board! Paul

It's a moniker I've used for well over 20 years on the net. I still have a small MIDI based studio in my apartment. One keyboard controller, one Strat with a GK-2a MIDI pickup... cause I'm primarily a guitarist... a set of 4 percussion pads and a 7' tall Winsted rack full of modules.

I had a small 'studio' myself, with keyboard, electronic drum kit, drum machine, and sound module wired to a PC with Cakewalk Pro Audio. I actually still have it but haven't used any of it in years - with good reason!

Nice pictures, thanks for posting them, any more of the band or other bands from those times? Many, actually. For a number of years I was tight with a guy who ran the local university radio station. They used to book a lot of very good bands back then and he would always send someone from the station to do an interview and would send me along to take shots of the interviews before the shows and the shows themselves. I was about 17 at the time. It was an incredible time. I had already been playing guitar for 7 years at that point and was always involved in my own bands. Having the opportunity to meet and see so many of my favorite acts of the time in such an intimate setting was rare.

Hi Midiman: Terrific shot. Thanks for posting. Sadly, back then I didn't have a camera Regards, Silken...

Brilliant photos. How do you get that black and red effect? What you're seeing is one of a series of custom wallpapers I made for my computer back in days when my resolutions were much smaller. The black and white photo montages were arranged using layers in Photoshop. A layer of solid red was plastered over the top of it all and then I turned the opacity of the solid red down to get the effect I was looking for.
