Not much out there but I came across this: At 7.30pm precisely a slightly portly gentleman wearing a dark waistcoat and black bandana covering I suspect a shiny bald pate, took his place centre stage at Buxton Opera House. A radio played the shipping forecast announcing a storm and Ian Anderson of Jethro Tull sang and played mandolin to one of my favourite songs 'Dun Ringill'. Part through the song he was joined by... www.remotegoat.co.uk/review_view.php?uid=4223

Good morning all! I was too tired last night to post anything. We left early for the show, expecting traffice coming from LAX area...but we were there in a bit over an hour. So, we waited around for almost 3 b4 showtime. We did get to meet up with an old Tull buddy of mine who was visiting from NY~Griff. It was so nice to see him, and to talk to Glenda on his scell phone at intermission! Love you guys! The show was great! Ians voice was stronger than it's been in the last shows I saw. He opened with Dun Ringill, Jack inthe Green, March the Mad Scientist (awesome!!), Just trying to Be, Skating Away...more, I know, and then ended the 1st half with Rocks on the Road. Florian Ophale is an amazing guitar player! I really enjoyed him. His style is Flemenco, so it was completely different than the Martin sound that I am used to. Imust admit, I really missed Martin last night, especially suring the 2nd 1/2 when they played My God, Aqua, and Loco Breath. I really enjoyed A Change of Horses. It's a beautiful song. Tea with the Princess was not so impressive, to me. The viola player was excellent and she fit right into the pieces being played. All in all, good show... for an Ian show. I guess I am more of a Tull show fan. I really missed Martin,..it made me feel like he was dead to hear someone else playing Aqualung. I am glad Griff was there with me to commiserate with after...thanks, Griff. Call me when you are in l.A.! We tried to get a setlist, but the road crew wasn't too friendly. Oh, I also miss Kenny Wylie! All in all, Ian was good last night, and it was an enjoyable evening. Take care! Louise
