So, For Jeff, Here's my take on Ms Gallileo, with "spectacles, while lab coat, coffee thermos and my notes".

She's a beauty, Quizz....love the way you have the spectacles propped downward, in that come-hither way. I'm sure that is exactly how Ms. Galilleo looked in that umbrella-domed, pin-pricked observatory, she was being "observed" very closely, leading up to that "Big Bang" which followed..... Jeff

I don't understand how phucken photobucket can intervene on this board to censor the artwork of one of our members, and it really pisses me off. What because it's a semi-nude drawing of a woman, which happens to be tasteful and, I might add, an accurate artistic interpretation of a Tull song? They have got to be kidding. Is there anyway of getting Quizz's art back up here? (I'm sure Pat can do it without photophucket, no?) Jeff

What was photobucket's involvement with Pat's drawing being posted here, anyway, and how can it be circumvented? I will not tolerate censorship of perfectly acceptable material on this board.

Jeff Not sure what's happened the image is still there when I view it. I don't use photobucket on my website, it's all directly loaded.

The drawing has re-appeared this morning, but last night it was gone, replaced by a white and red square with the message "This photo or image violates the terms of our use -- Photobucket." Anyway, I'm glad that it's back up, and I hope it doesn't happen again. Jeff

Here it is again, that same red and white Photobucket square replacing Pat's drawing, which had reappeared for the entire day. What does this thing only strike at night or something? I want Miss Galilleo back 24/7.

Thought I'd try and add a link to the larger version of my avatar image as a couple of people have asked what it was. I grew up in the space race era and avidly follow the space programme so for the 40th anniversary of the apollo lunar landing I did a sketch of Michael Collins [CSM Pilot on apollo 11], Jeffrey [of Hammond-Hammond lineage] and Me.....not IA but me....I don't normally draw men and especially don't do self portraits......the reason is blindingly obvious! It's only a sketch and not quite finished at this stage.

But where are Ms. Undressed to Kill and Ms. UnderWraps? We'd love to have them here, in their topless splendor! Jeff

"Undressed to kill"[after Ballard]"Under wraps 1"[to be finished]Thanks, Pat, once again you've done a superb job of breathing life into the sexy women of Tull! Tull always have had an important visual aspect, which can be quite bawdy at times, and this is apparent not only in the stage show, but also in the lyrics, which always paint a vivid picture of the song's story and characters. I also feel that there is an important nexus between art and music, and I think that Ian shares that view as is evidenced by SLOB, which was so influenced by various paintings by famous artists. That's why I love when an talented artist like you can interpret the lyrics in a drawing or painting, like you have done so well with your randy Tull women. I also happen to believe that the sexual side of Ian's stage show and lyrics cannot and should not be off-limits on a Tull discussion board, because they are an essential part of Ian's whole schtick! Therefore, on this board, if someone like Steelmonkey were to start a thread that, say, focused on some of the sexual imagery in Tull, or some of the sleazy or oddball characters, or shall we say the "gutter" aspect of some of the lyrics, they can freely do so without fear of censorship. That is not always the case elsewhere, as we have seen, and that is just one of the reasons why we feel that we have a very distinctive new Tull forum here. Jeff

Quizz, how about Cross-eyed Mary for your next Tull vixen? It might be challenging to combine faded beauty with repulsiveness.
Slim, big-breasted and in some state of undress are all givens, and of course slightly cross-eyed with maybe a half-broken tooth as well? I'll leave the other details and props to you!

Actually, faded beauty might not be accurate based on the song lyrics, as she is a schoolgirl. Still, I think what I am getting at is a young slutty woman who is both attractive and repulsive at the same time. If this is something you are interested in, Quizz, let me know. Otherwise, I'll come up with something else!

OK, challenge set! It might take me a bit longer than normal as I am currently working on developing my painting, and am experimenting with more colour and various forms of acrylic media at present on canvas and board. I'm getting the under-painting OK, but I'm finding that as the paintings develop they are taking on an overall darkness and "muddiness" which I don't really like so I'm reworking stuff.
And, because I've been pleased with the results of the more detailed drawings I am doing fewer rough sketches for issue.
Give me a couple of weeks and I'll see what I can produce.

Take your time, this is all in fun, so whenever you get to it is fine. One thing, though, I'm not sure if you saw my follow-up post, but "faded beauty" is not accurate, as she is a schoolgirl. So young and slutty is probably a better description. Jeff

Jeff Hi Jeff, Yep, I got that, I thought of going for a tarnished, slapperish, slightly worn at the edges look, a sort of Britney, "Ohh ba-bey, ba-bey... hit me one more time" feel but with the life of the real Ms Spears thriown in to take the edge of things a little.
