We are TaleSpin. We are a cover and original music band. We also sometimes do strictly Tull shows. The band is based in Danbury, CT, USA Please check us out at www.reverbnation.com/talespin. We recently posted our first videos to Youtube. The first is our version of "Wond'ring Aloud" and the second is an original tune called "Axes". We'd appreciate you checking them out and getting your feedback. Be seeing you!

Your version of Wondering Aloud was spot on, and I love Axes! I took the liberty of inserting the actual videos into your post, since you had included only the links, which is the only time I ever go into anyone's post. To get the video itself into the post all you need to do is highlight the youtube link and then click on the youtube button above the message box and then you are ready to post your message. Since you guys are in Danbury, please let us know when you are playing in the NYC area and particularly of course when you do your all-Tull shows, and representatives from The Jethro Tull Board will make every effort to attend. By the way, you happen to look very much like another Tull tribute guy, Paul Caruso, from War Child! Glad to have you here, Jeff

I just listened to your cover of Wondering Aloud again, and enjoyed it....great job with that! I also noticed the Stand Up rug you've got hanging on the wall in the background. Judson, the guy who makes those, just joined us a member a few weeks ago. Jeff

Fellow Tullians, I am putting together a spinoff acoustic band from TaleSpin that will be doing lots of Tull with a mix of other Celtic, folk, Fairport and original stuff. I will be playing acoustic guitar and singing, my current bassist will be playing some bass but mostly mandolin. What we need is a VIOLINIST/VIOLIST. Does anyone know of one that might be near the Danbury, CT area who might be interested in joining our little venture? Any help or leads would be greatly appreciated! Thanks much Bill

Thanks much Bill That sounds alot like a venture I would be interested in seeing and I wish u well, kind of wish u were in Chicago. Generally speaking I have zero interest in Tull cover bands, particularly if they are in any respect trying to re create what Ian Anderson does or has done on stage, fairly screams geek to me, particularly if it comes with a codpiece. I much prefer the musics u mention as Tull relatives, as opposed to the more common Genesis, Yes, ELP, Rush, Moody Blues who mostly to my perception share a common birth date. Good luck, certainly there are splendid musicians and more Tull friendly outposts in your neck of the world than is common. There is one Tull band in Chicago who I have not seen, I have little doubt out in the south suburbs where they play and things are a bit more aggressive, that somewhere in the course of the evening they have Aqualung shouted at them as a threat as much as a suggestion.

Thanks much Bill TaleSpin Beautiful work Bill! How long have you been performing Tull, and who does your video production? It was fun to watch---do you have a studio with a blue screen? (forgive my ignorance---I know very little about video production but always wanted to learn).... Mike (from the tribute band Warchild)

Mike, Danbury is probably too far from NYC (unfortunately). At least a 2 hour drive. I thank you though. Bill

Mike, Concerning the video. I actually use a green screen and I've been doing Tull seriously for about 5 years. Tull has always been my favorite band, but I never felt confident enough to attempt playing their music. I'm pleased you like the video.

Unfortunately, we haven't done much in NYC. The closest we ever came was Yonkers. But we're certainly willing if you know someplace that would have us :}
