I'm not exactly sure what it means, but I think I heard something about it-though it might be unrelated. Apparently recently a lot of released recordings of albums and singles have been recorded onto the CD or MP3 pretty loudly, making it so that the range of sounds decreases, and ultimately becomes less crisp, lesser quality.
It may not be related, but if so, looks like most of Tull's albums are "Lossless" which I assume is a good thing, and I wouldn't assume "lossy" is such a bad state.
