I used to collect some of that stuff in the dark ages of VHS and cassette. Thanks to you guys, I now realize there is so much more out there. I think the only stuff I used to have from the old tape trading days was "Fish & Sheep...", MSG '78, Pussy Willow from '82 Prince's Trust, and the 20 years VHS.
Thru Youtube, its obvious that there is a wealth of stuff out there. I guess so much JT stuff was shot cause they were a pretty visually arresting band (IA, duh!). In honesty, my fave band is probably Yes with JT being #2, but I can actually count on two hands how many videos (official & non) there are of those guys from their "peak" period.
So anyhoo, thanks for pointing me in the direction of some good JT things! See you guys around.

There seems to be lots more coming all the time though what with the editing and restoring of old bootleg videos. I thought I had seen nearly everything on youtube of Jethro Tull save a few 80s performances here and there--I was certainly surprised when I came back recently to find a second bootleg of thick as a brick, and a few from there songs from the wood tour as well.
It's also fun to search Jethro Tull and sort by newest videos to see the recent cell phone recordings people put up. Some of them are surprisingly good quality.

Its just unfortunate that "miming" was so popular for TV shows, because they had the better cameras and many of the actual live performances have terrible audio and video quality by comparison. But there are many great videos to be seen! I watch something nearly every day, whether I've seen it before or not.

I see there is some pro-shot complete song footage on YouTube from the Under Wraps tour but can't find anyone with further details and/or selling a DVD of it.
