Hmmmm, funny you're not the first to tell me that, news travels fast around these parts pardner, but I now see what people are referring to. Anyway, I think this was his best stage apparel ever! ;D

I don't believe I ever saw that exact outfit - in those colors. Were there any other similar "Minstrel" outfits that he wore?

There would have had to have been just from a practical standpoint. You can't just dump those in a washer and dryer and, not to be gross or rude or anything, we all know how he sweats; in three wearings the costume would stand up on its own. In five it would start living a life of its own. I'd think there'd have to have been five or six in constant rotation. A Tull Tour must have been like moving a freakin opera company back in the day.

I don't remember seeing that outfit before either. Certainly a great find! Looks a bit less glamorous than the purple one. Though that's sort of why I liked the purple one.
Wonder how many of them he still has in the back of his closet?

I suspect that outfit was a one shot deal. Probably the first night of the tour. After it was ruined by the tomatoes it was discarded.

This one is slightly different Charlie. This one is predominantly yellow-gold where the other was purple.

Good Lord that is embarrassing. Almost wonder if it was photo shopped. I don't have to struggle too far to see how non or casual fans came to see the band and its fans as imbeciles. Having said that I can recall I very much liked the more colorful version of that, and seeing pictures of Led Zeppelin or other megas from that period are often things best left forgotten. Indeed I have seen Miles Davis in outfits from roughly that time period that garish is a not strong enough word for. O well. On with the show.

Yes I remember the "yellow" costume from January 1975 in Ft. Worth TX. The War Child tour. Saw them twice that year (2nd in August in Dallas). Only saw that outfit the one time.
