For my money COAK was a great album. I listened to it recently and was struck by the quality of the first bunch of songs, just one great one after another. Any band would be happy to have such a strong set of tunes. I want to hear the bar band that could pull off "Steel Monkey"--somebody's going to better bars than I am!

For some unknown reason the torrent I uploaded will only seed to 99.9% I uploaded a new file to fix this. thepiratebay.org/torrent/6340003I heard that the other still works though....wierd. It seems to me that an apology should be issued here when you accused the "user" of having issues with this site when the "poster" can't even get it make it work correctly. The "Pirate" site is potentially loaded with with spyware, adware and potential viruses and mentioned later on, perhaps illegal downloads, hence the term, "Pirate Bay." The policy here of open posting brings a quandary because they do not try to limit free expression. However, I don't feel contributing or linking to that site is anything that is condoned by this board and wanted to make that clear. Click on the link at your own risk but I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. Dan

COAK was a welcome return to rock & roll for my ears. I don't think there is a bad song on this album.
After the 3 years hiatus, I appreciated the fact that this album contained just 9 (solid) tracks. As opposed to an album like Catfish or Dot Com that had a decent amount of "filler" attached to it.
BTW, I thought Martin's guitar playing on Steel Monkey kicked some ass.

Funny how IA deliberately lowered the keys when recording so as to not damage his voice again on tour, yet when singing those songs now, he sounds so weak.

But that can be said about most all their previous songs. Unfortunately his voice has been a skeleton of what it was for almost 30 years now and it's less and less of what it was even a few years ago. However the Tightness and quality of the music has surpassed years ago when I look at Martin and Ian individually. Now that's just my opinion and those that have seen the same shows I usually go to with and meet up with. Any Tull beats 90% of what I hear on commercial radio today. mike

Here's a little bit more of the rare and wonderful stuff.... Hope you enjoy this board's Holiday present to you. The dancers are once again Pan's People, the music is in need of release. RIP Flick Colby, Pan's People's choreographer who died on Thursday aged 65.

Amazing stuff! Thanks! The piece that is labelled Part 5 here made it to the ending of one of the live shows that I can't find right now, while Ian was distributing the balloons. Dan I loved them all. There is no better quitarist alive than Martin. Silken...

Here is the original questionaire given to fans for the Crest contest thingy. Pretty general. Pat you can use on BSM if you think it fits? Click on thumbnail to view large version That's pretty cool TT, does anybody know what the instrumental was that was left off of Crest? Darin I'd love to answer all those questions now then winkle it up as if it got lost in the mail and send it to Ian. Q: "What would you like to see/hear from Jethro Tull in the future?" A: i would like you to start making arrangements to get the 72 line up back together in preparation for 2011 40th Aqualung tour and 2012 for a 40th anniversary TAAB tour youd make a killing but only if you have the throat surgery now while you still can! (your still young!) (and don't fire Martin, ......you'll cause unrest amongst your fan base) (and stay away from any songs about Mangos and anything called Aquadiddly)

Thanks Tulltapes! Darin, the "instrumental" is the beginning of The Waking Edge.
