Hey all,
Just wondering aloud if anyone here attended any of the USA Tull conventions back in the '90s? My father, great uncle and I attended the '93, '94, '96 & '99 conventions on Long Island and the '97 Burlington, VT convention. I was in my early 20's and had a ton of hair at the time. ;D Some of you may remember my dad from VT as the guy who jumped onstage to sing the last verse of Locomotive Breath with the boys after the guy Ian picked out of the front to sing (so he could save his voice for the show that night) completely butchered it! My old man saved the day and fullfilled his lifelong dream.

BTW, I was one of the vendors there. I sold Tull tees and hats, but don't tell anyone.

I attended one in Middletown, Rhode Island, maybe 1992? No band members attended but there was a great band called Crwydryn, whose singer was an Ian lookalike. Met some cool folks at that convention.

The Hofstra ones were the best - '94 & '96. Glen was cool as hell, he hung out and partied with everyone back at the dorms late into the wee hours.

Great convention photos, Jim, keep those coming. I recognize Felicia, Benjamin, Beverly, Debbie, Rene and others in several photos. I was at the Rhode Island convention, the Melville convention and the first Hofstra convention, which Glenn attended, and I spoke with him at length, but for some reason I was not at the second Hofstra convention which had both Glenn and John. My old man saved the day and fullfilled his lifelong dream. At the 1994 convention at Hofstra University, Gary did an excellent performance of "The Hare Who Lost His Spectacles". I was using the house lighting system to enhance his telling of the story. He did as good a job as Ian did during last years tour. Also, he played the flute while doing so, Ian did not. Well done Gary.

I remember singing My God with this guy on the beer line in Rhode Island in 2004 during the intermission!

After attending my first Tull convention in July 1994 with Glenn Cornick. This was in the hallway just to let us know we could not stay any longer. Rules are meant to be bent or broken.

Another Tull Tribute band at Hofstra University July 1996. I hope someone remembers their name. Gary needs a beer. He deserves it. Only the best groups play at the Tull Convention 1996.

If any one went to this convention in 1999, I would like to see any pics or comments from that event. It was beyond my reach to be there and it broke my heart not to come. If only my Lear Jet wasn't in the shop that weekend. I know, no excuses. I loved the artwork too, well done.
