It's been a while, but I was poking around Glenn's fantastic website recently. Of particular interest were the Paris (band) photos of Glenn and his fellow band members. They had quite the artsy fartsy look to them. There was also a photo album dedicated to Glenn's first wife. There were some very inappropriate comments made and Glenn responded to them. Probably should have just deleted them. Still, it's an excellent site and Glenn could probably open a museum with all his memorabilia. In fact, I hope he accounts for it properly in his will.

Glenn's website is indeed fantastic. He has done a great service to his fans, and Jethro Tull fans for taking the time and effort to post up so much memorabilia.
Also, has either Glenn, Ian, or someone else ever given word on why Glenn was asked to leave the band? I've only heard it mentioned in interviews two or three times, all of which respond with some sort of "I can't tell you that" answer.

Ian wanted Glenn out because Glenn was enjoying the rock'n'roll lifestyle a bit too much. It's discussed in detail on the Classic Arts 40th Anniversary DVD which should be out here in the USA any year now. But you can watch it on Youtube.

Here's Glenn's story about Mick that I told in a past thread. Now you may recall that I did say things were a bit hazy, but as you'll see I was only slightly off on some details....
Glenn's words:
Mick was always very unpleasant to Roy the roadie who, at that time was making absolute minimum money, and was always yelling at him and complaining about everything. At that time we were all hard up for money and using well worn equipment. At one gig, Mick blew a speaker (1 of 8) and had to buy a replacement which Roy installed in one of Mick's cabinets. Roy kept the blown speaker and, after every gig, put the blown speaker back into one of Mick's cabinets to make him think he had blown another speaker and make him buy another new one. The good speakers that came from Mick's cabinets went into my cabinets to replace my thrashed speakers and Roy continued doing it until Mick had unknowingly replaced all 8 of my speakers! Mick always thought he had just had a bad run on speakers. I never felt guilty about it as it was small payback for some of the unpleasant things that Mick did to us (and which I feel I must keep to myself)

But here's the kicker, Jeffrey: Paul, who is TM on that other forum, was the one who asked Glenn the question about pranks they used to play on Mick. So Glenn's answer was in direct response to Paul's question. Therefore, Glenn would not have even told that hilarious story had it not been for Paul. So really, in a sense, it is they who should be giving Paul the credit, not the opposite way around. At the very least, Paul had the right to quote Glenn's answer here, since Glenn was responding to the very question that Paul (i.e., TM) himself had asked! Jeff Another thing you should know is that Paul already knew the Mick story from having spoken to Glenn at a Tull convention. So he was asking the question for the selfless purpose of having Glenn tell that same story again on that other forum.... for the benefit of that other forum's members!

Thanks for clarifying that Jeff.
And to Jeffrey - my apologies for not making it clear that I was in fact posting Glenn's response to my own question. If you have a look at our Mick Abraham's thread, you will see where I has already told (my recollection) of that same story. So hopefully you'll agree that no harm done/intended.

If you have a look at our Mick Abraham's thread, you will see where I has already told (my recollection) of that same story. So hopefully you'll agree that no harm done/intended. Well despite our valid explanation, it seems that Grumpy Grahampa is making a bit of a stink about this over there. You know his usual trick, commenting on it and then saying that he won't "stoop so low" as to comment on it. He can twist it anyway he likes, it does not change the fact that you had every right to quote Glenn's answer to your very own question. Especially under the circumstances I described, and especially since they invited us to leave their board after you submitted your question to Glenn, at a point in time when Glenn hadn't answered yet. So, what, you're not supposed to comment on Glenn's answer to your own question there or here? Oh, and by the way, somebody should ask him where he gets all that memorabilia from. Glenn's site? Electrocutas? Ebay? Various other online merchants? We'll never know. I don't recall him ever acknowledging his sources, do you? Jeff

He's obviously ill-informed or just looking to cause trouble.

Well that's like asking a bunch of Chevy salesmen where the nearest Ford dealership is! ;D sorry don't mean to be nosy here it's just that I rate Glenn Cornick as one of Tulls best past members. Would like to see the Q&A? Is it part of this Forum?

Hi, CousinJack,
Since you had asked about the two boards (and since they've been taking subtle swipes at us over there), I just thought I'd give you the history of it (from our perspective anyway), which was very recent. I also wanted you to be able to find the Cornick Q & A, since you said that you really wanted to read it. We have a number of members here who post on both boards, and that's perfectly fine with us.
Jeff

hmm yeah.... ok sorry not into heavy internet forum politics just the music and the fan chat ;D I hear you and I'm sorry to have bogged you down in all that. To be honest with you it was a mistake on my part. I should have just told you where to find the Cornick interview and left it at that. Jeff
