Hello Fellow Tullians, Hope this note finds you all well. Just wanted to let you know LWTP will be doing a special 40th Anniversary of Aqualung show in NY on Sat Sept 17th. We'll be playing several songs off that great album, as well as many more Tull classics and a few that we've never ever done before. Should be a fun show. Opening is an amazing guitarist, Ron LoCurto.....check out his website. The gig is at The Tralf in Buffalo, NY....best venue in that region. See www.tralfmusichall.comBest wishes, Ray - Living with the Past For further details: info@universerecords.com

I was supposed to take a family trip to the area over the summer, but work issues prevented me from taking any kind of vacation the whole summer. I can't promise, but I am going to see if I can do this. In the meantime, I will be promoting your show on Facebook, as a number of our friends are from the Buffalo/Toronto area. Jeff

Erin, Ray and the rest of LWTP, I am sorry to say I was unable to make it up there for your show tonight. Are you playing any other shows in the near future? I was dying to come up to Buffalo (which I have fond memories of from law school and subsequent visits to see friends and Tull), but it just proved impossible. I'm very sorry to be missing your show and the opportunity to meet you guys.
Anyway, I hope you guys have a great show tonight, and if you are going to be posting any videos from the show on youtube, please let us know, or better yet, post them up here too!
Jeff

Thanks Jeff, Sorry you couldn't make it out but we completely understand. Probably wont do it again for a while. Maybe next year as we are not really a "tribute band". We don't make a dime, it actually cost us money to do these shows and we do it because we love the music and meeting all the people. It's like our own mini convention. It was great to meet all the big Tull fans. The crowd really enjoyed the show and we had a blast! eventually i will have some videos to share. I'm glad the show went well, Erin, and of course I would love to see some videos when you have them ready. I'm upset that certain events that sprang up made it impossible for me to go, because I know you guys only do one or two shows a year. Next time around, I'm there. I'm just curious....what was your set list? Jeff

Hi Folks,
Well, it was a great gig despite a ton of adversity. I came down with a horrible cold right before the show and was very sick....no energy, and with my lungs full of green gook, I had a sore throat and no breath...tough for someone who has to sing and play flute. I should have cancelled the gig but we knew people had traveled to attend the show so we carried on. A band member also tripped over my flute pickup lead the night before during rehearsal and it came crashing down to the floor, throwing it way out of adjustment! We also unfortunately have some personnel issues with a band member who is having serious personal problems, so that made it the gig from hell!
Despite all that, the second wind took over and I managed to do OK. The band was great. The crowd was very into it and gave us a rousing close, but we ended the show per the setlist. People still stayed at the club for some time, thinking we would come back out to do more, but I was on the verge of collapse by then and we called it a night.
It was a thrill to do Thousand Mothers, Old Ghosts, and Cheap Day for the very first time. I have not heard the recording of the show yet, but I recall Aqualung as being one of our best ever, so I'm anxious to hear that.
I'm sure Erin will have some youtube stuff up at some point, so stay tuned.
Thanks to you all for your continued support, and a special thanks to those who traveled to the show.
Best wishes to you all, and we'll keep you posted on future developments.
Ray - LWTP

Erin, how did it go the other night? Hopefully you had a decent crowd on a Saturday night.
Are you planning to post any clips? I'd love to sample the show even though I unfortunately was not able to make it up there.

Unfortunately I will not be able to make it to Colorado for the Ian gig. I am thinking about Chicago or even Akron Ohio? If not I will wait until the 2013 dates. I am also going to take a break from my band LWTP. For the past Ten years I have dedicated an incredible amount of time just to play one gig per year. The last gig was alot of fun and I respect the musicians in the band greatly. I have recommended my friend and former guitar instructor (amazing player) to fill in for now. The band was created out of my house from scratch, in memory of my father and I think he would have been proud of what I accomplished but I am excited to get some other projects started which I've put off for too long, before I'm Too Old To Rock n Roll. Best of luck with that Erin.
