What do you suppose the meaning is of the following words:
And closing the door/I feel a new dawn/As the darker sides align/you to yours and me to mine.
I've always loved that verse, and I have my own interpretation, but I was wondering what others thought.

I think those lyrics prove that every now and then some joker at the Heineken factory drops a few micrograms of LSD in a bottle. I think in 1970, in SF, ian actually was dosed with LSD...played the gig miserable...and vowed to never return...a promise he actually kept for close to 20 years...playing all around the Bay Area (Oakland, Daly City, Concord, Mountain View, Berkeley)) but not in SF city limits again till about 1989.

Yes, what he said. I'm not touching those darker sides!

I disagree. I don't think these lyrics are freaky or drug-induced in any way, on the contrary they seem quite purposeful. It obviously is a love song, and I think there is a very sexual aspect to the imagery, but I just can't quite get what he's driving at with the above-quoted verse....although I think I know. Jeff
