Just got in from the Sheffield show.
Some initial thoughts
In a word stunning ..if you were unsure about whether you should see this , I urge you to do so. It ranks amongst one of the best of the 50 plus shows I have seen since 74
TAAB 1 was played with skill , empathy, enthusiasm and energy. I was almost moved to tears when the beautiful and moving do you believe in the day section began.
Its taken a while for Ian to recognise that his music can only be enhanced by the addition of a vocalist. Ryan O’ Donnell was outstanding. I have rarely seen Ian so enthused in recent years .The interplay between Ryan , Florian and Ian was excellent.
I enjoyed the second half, but, whilst it was very good , it was not able to match the sheer excellence of TAAB 1
I may invite disdain , but I did not miss Martin ……….Florian played magnificently and his expertise and enthusiasm for the music was a joy to see. I really believe that Ian has been able to absorb the infectious energy of the younger players in a positive way . Subsequently Ian’s music has once again moved forward.
The band as a whole seemed to have ownership of the performance and their enjoyment of performing both TAAB 1 and 2 was obvious to all
I eagerly await the shows at Harrogate and Manchester
Best to all Tull fans

Preston,
great to hear it, I've seen a couple of videos floating about but suspected they didn't prtray the overall quality of the gig, focusing on too small an area.
Can't wait until Hammersmith.
In the meantime I hope to get to see MB at the Borderline on Saturday if I can. Anyone going to either of these gigs?
BTW meant to say I liked the last few postings of Rob's work.

Pat yep I had seen a few of the videos and I thought that this Ryan fellow was going to really test my patience with his broom guitar antics ...but his introduction really enhanced the show . If only Anna Phoebe had been on stage as well

If only Anna Phoebe had been on stage as well That's exactly the feeling I had, seemed a bit contrived and weak, but I'm happy to take your word on it!

Apart from the music I was really glad that a point of discussion on various forums was solved. During a part of the show Old school song the Blackpool Grammar School photo was shown and high lighted was J. Evan , JHH and IA Once and for all ,speculation about where they were on the photograph has been solved link to photo below perhaps some one can upload it ( I dont know how to ) and we can all have a last bit of fun speculating where these three characters are located on the pic. I have tried to find them again , but will have to wait until I see the video in the show again before I can be certain. www.meliora.co.uk/64_wsp.htm
