I don't keep boring ticket stubs. only tattootull I agree in part that ticket stubs need more artwork. However, the mind can play tricks on you as you grow older. Each ticket represents a moment in time that is sometimes forgotten. If I saved every ticket I ever bought for every band, it would be less special. Tull tickets are more meaningful to those who care. ;D Because of this thread, my memory is enhanced. ;D

"However, the mind can play tricks on you as you grow older." Come on, I'm older than you, get with it, don't believe it! Snap out of it! Think round corners, I say.

My 17th Tull Concert[glow=blue,2,300]Dot Com Tour[/glow]1999 September 5 / Baltimore, MarylandMy 20 year old son was ready to see Tull once again. He loved the wheelchair show in '96, but this would show Ian in full athletic form. We got there early for the soundcheck. I yelled "Play El Nino !" to no avail. The show that night was very tight and "Hunt by Numbers" Rocked! Holy Dot Com! The new guy at the Light Board came through! Autographed set list by Paul Kell - Tull Light Technician

My 25th ShowFunny thing, it was the 25th Anniversary Show At the Greek Theatre in LADarin Cody That's what I like, beautiful and exotic locations. Normally I prefer indoor theaters but this looks even better. Is this the same Greek Theatre used for Jimmy Page & The Black Crowes Live Album?

My 18th Tull Concert[glow=purple,4,300]A Leg To Stand On Tour[/glow]2000 July 1 / Raleigh, North Carolina This was my first chance ever to see The Chieftains with Tull ! ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D What a show with Ian, Martin, and Doane joining them on stage. This was Celtic Music at it's finest. The best Tull song: "Dharma For One" just like at Carnegie Hall 1970. The Extra Heavy Version! Holy Y2K ! Another Set List from P. Kell - Light Technician ;D ;D ;D ;D I just love hanging around the Tull Road Crew ;D ;D ;D ;D And the Chieftains too! ;D ;D ;D ;D

My 19th Tull Concert[glow=purple,4,300]A Leg To Stand On Tour[/glow]2000 July 2 / Charlotte, North CarolinaBack to Back Tull Weekend! This is how to Rock in North Carolina ! Once again the Chieftains were excellent and this time I recognized their tunes. ;D ;D This was a front row experience too, although just to the right of center. ;D ;D That means Martin Barre in your face! Go ahead Martin, Crank It Up! I can take it! Holy Y2K part 2! These guys are so cool at the controls. You don't see stuff like this in Best Buy these days. I think they forgot who Tull is.No wonder Best Buy is going broke, not enough Tull in their collection. ......Can anyone spot the error in this advertisement by Best Buy ?

My 20th Tull Concert[glow=navy,5,300]Living With The Past Tour[/glow]2002 April 30 / Asheville, North CarolinaMy 23 year old son was very glad to see this show in the town close to him. I had to drive about 2 1/2 hours to be there and show up for work the next day. It was worth every mile because this time I got to meet the entire band plus Shona. Shona Anderson does not consider herself as part of Jethro Tull. However, on this night she was! ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D Thank You Doane, Shona, Ian, Jonathan, Martin, and Andy! ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;DMore pics! My 22nd Tull Concert2003 November 18 / Durham, North CarolinaMy good friend Danny and I were totally entertained on this night. Ian had a Radio Dj from Raleigh WRDU 106.1 named Bob the Blade as host. My first ever show with Florian Opahle, David Goodier, John O'Hara, and James Duncan. The 1st set had many selctions from Rupi's Dance, SLOB, and even Divinities. The 2nd set was full of reworked Tull classics and much audience participation. ;D ;D I even played the 'Ian Kuzoo' during "Locomotive Breath". ;D ;D Overall it was a great performance and Ian sitting on a Tonight Show sofa. Also my friend Paul with his 2 sons. A Tull expert for sure.

My 24th Tull Concert[glow=red,6,300]JETHRO TULL's Ian Anderson with An All Star Band [/glow]2010 November 14 / Richmond, VirginiaThis concert was a 3 1/2 hour drive to Richmond and worth every mile. I arrived around 3:00 p.m. that afternoon and met the whole band plus Tom Lynch. ;D After the show I told Florian that Ian was much more energetic than I had seen in years. I give credit to him, Scott Hammond, David Goodier, and John O'Hara. I can't wait to see TAAB 1 & 2 next fall. This will be EPIC. Whatever Ian calls it, it's still Tull to me!

This was the only unused ticket I ever bought at a record show years ago. It was a concert 2 weeks after the August 9th show I saw in Greensboro, N.C.

[glow=red,2,300]1971 / 1973 Tull Tickets![/glow]All tickets are nice to see after so many years. These were on the web. Interesting that the EP ticket carries a corrected date stamp, due to the rescheduling of the gig from the original date. I presume it was a return as the deal was tickts for the original date would be honoured. Mine was.

Jim, I noticed on your 1972 ticket stub the price is four dollars and fifty something cents. I put 4.50 into a inflation calculator and it is the equivalent of $24.77 today--and that was back when they were one of the biggest bands in the world!!!

Even back then people were complaining over ticket prices. The reality was, most concerts were a bargain and usually had more than one headliner group. Gas was cheap and you could follow groups from town to town if you had time and money. We must be thankful that most Tull shows are reasonably priced. If I see 1 show per year, I'm happy. More than 1 would be ecstasy ! ;D (not the drug)

One artists I really have to take my hat off to is Dickey Betts, a few years ago he played at the local theater for 20 dollars a ticket, less than most of the acts there (who are a lot less popular).
