While I am certainly a hardcore Tull fan, my age limits my trivial knowledge compared to you seasoned folks out there. Knowing there is quite a collective encyclopedia of knowledge here on the Jethro Tull board (from all the members' brains of course) I have a couple of questions to ask--out of pure curiosity (that I find insatiable).
I have a copy of "A New Day" magazine #67 from September 1999. The whole thing is filled with Dot Com reviews.
Anyway, On page three David mentions this:
"On the subject of A New Day goodies, there is good news and bad. To get rid of the bad first, the long awaited SOLSTICE video has been scrapped, never to raise it's ugly head again. I'm sorry to disappoint so many of you, but believe me, it hurts us much more than it hurts you!"
Does anyone have any idea what he's talking about? I'm afraid that in '99 I was busy gangbanging and gutbusting with the rest of my 8 year old friends to stay on top of Tull news. I'm would think if there was some sort of interesting content to be found in this apparently scrapped project I would have heard about it, but I need to know!
Okay now--second, I have read mentions here and there of a Tull fan magazine called "Living in the Past" I have found two addresses for inquiries (though very dated) one from New York, and one from the Isle of Skye (not Ian himself of course). Does anyone have any information on this fan magazine???
Thanks in advanced for your responses. My trivial questions are the only way I can satisfy my Tull hunger-----Thank you!! Sorry if they seem easy. I haven't had 30+ years to study up on this stuff
