Ahem...didn't I technically send the invite? haaa You know when I first got your email I just sort of glanced at it and thought it was you behind this board. So I'm thinking, "how does this woman with two young chillins have time for this." Then I saw it was a forward when I went back the next time.

My very prickly, brittle, joint custody status includes regular court-mandated and supervised mediation...last week the mediator addressed the question of the parent's differing religions ( mom's a mentally-ill catholic-dad's a non-observant but very jewy jew...and I solemnly said: well, we don't talk much about god and prayer in our home but Frances has been taught that Jethro Tull are a very important aspect of daily life and, in fact, have a relevant song or lyric for most real-life situations. Fuckers all of them....no one even smiled.

Uh-oh, maybe I shouldn't be saying that so close to the High Holy Days. Jeff

How's all things in Lima? It was Lima wasn't it? I have a friend who lives there in fact. I thought you might be one of the first to show up here. Oh, and I suppose I need to say hello to the right honorable gentleman Sir Quizz too whilst we're still shouting out greetings.

Jeff Of course, by high holidays you must mean Ian in the bay Area in early November, right? L'chaim jews for jethro! Jews for Jethro, that's very funny Speaking of that (and road trips), during college, me and my friend Fred -- who I managed to convert to Tull -- drove from Boston to Nassau Colliseum to see a Stormwatch (or was that Broadsword) show. On Yom Kippur. Jeff P.S. (Please don't tell my mother.)

I'd love to take credit for being original but weren't the 'jews for jerry' bumper stickers fairly common on the east coast? Smiling Garcia in a star of david......btw---don't get me started about your mom! There is an amazing song you should try track down, it's called 'Space Jews' by an artist named 'Momus'....try find the song, or at least the lyrics online...well worth the few minutes of computer time!

Hope the relationships have held up. When we built our house it was a strain. Some marraiges don't survive remodling. As for the art stuff....It is a wonder, people often say to me, I wonder why you bother ...........LOL. I think it's quite creative myself. I tried to drop you a note on your site last year but my prehistoric computer wouldn't send to that address for some reason. How's things with you? ..........Same ole same ole, which is rather good actually. Older, wiser, meaner.

Thank you for inviting me. This board looks great and seems to be more alive than the jethrotullclub.com. Thanks and welcome aboard Stjerky. Yes, hello STJ, and welcome. As you know, I tried to revive the Chat Forum, but had only very limited success. As you can see, this is becoming quite an active board, so we hope you contribute early and often regarding all things Tull, and anything else really. I would also like to hear more about your own band! Jeff

I would also like to hear more about your own band! Jeff Seems like you invited me here at the last minute. The jethrotullclub.com didn't work anymore, when I checked it. I know, wouldn't work when I tried it either. Who knows, maybe I sent a PM to the moderator over there without realizing it (because I don't even know who the moderator is), and rather than let me use that board's PM facility to recruit people to this board, he closed the whole thing down. (Who is the moderator over there anyway?) I'm just speculating, but if that's the case I'm surprised he even cared, what with the lack of activity over there. And God knows, I did try to revive that board before this one was launched. Anyway, if it is permanently closed, I'm glad I was able to contact you just in the nick of time! I've enjoyed your contributions thus far. Jeff

Did we ever get any official explanation why the official board was shut down at jethrotull.com? Last thing I remember DC was electing moderators to keep the place a wee bit cleaner. Shame, maybe you guys should chat DC up for a link at the official site.
