I'll make this brief cause I'm on my way to Asheville. In a word- stunning. A most enjoyable evening. Brick 1 mesmerized. The crowd, much more involved than i've seen at "Tull" concerts in years was present to see a show! We did not let a chance go by to hoot and cheer approval. We geezers, and quite a few youngsters managed to be both raucus and respectful. Standing ovation at the end of the first half then intermission. The beautiful venue ( my first time) had a modern warmth and elegance and was about 90% full. Ryan's "theatrical" presence was the perfect touch. It just worked. Youtube don't do it justice. His voice was much better then youtube led me to believe. The choreography added greatly to the humour and drama of the night. Brick2 held the attention of everyone as well. Ian was in control. He did almost all of the singing of the new work, as designed, and the voice held up throughout, best in years. Huge ovation at the end and the over 70 couple a few rows over were finglly treated to some Tull when loco breath was played. They, i believe, were doing acid and shouting Aqualung and War Child throughout. But that was more humorous than annoying. Off to Asheville to meet some new friends. Go if you can and get the best seats!!!! Cheers from the deep south, now off to Asheville.

i was at the show in atl last night as well. outstanding! the venue was great, pretty full as near as i could tell and the crowd was loud, but well behaved..ryans voice and presence did in fact come off much better in person than on youtube. ia's voice was his best im many years imo. to top it off, i went with an old friend whom we've shared many tull concerts together in the past...on my birthday no less!.you good people going to the current tour will be very happy!!! and lest i forget...the women i saw last night were a lil' older...but...smoking hot and classy to say the least. i drove back to bama afterwards and am just now draggin' my sorry butt out of bed. one more thing, not to single out a single musician, as they are all very talented...but florian's playing was outstanding...and LOUD!!! yall enjoy the shows as they come to your neck of the woods!
