I would only buy this on vinyl if it was recorded through analog machines.. which I'm very sure it wasn't. It defeats the purpose... other than the fact that it is cool to look at. It should sound the same as the CD version. But to buy some on J-Tull's earlier, for-sure analog, music would be completely worth the investment. I just bought, this morning, A and Bursting Out on vinyl. Pretty excited to hear it!

I'm hoping the gold in this set is Steve's remaster of TAAB1... cause that is definitely analogue and his work with the Aqualung vinyl was magnificent. Its worth it for that alone for me. edit. I'm sure its a fuck up on the price... I mean two LPs and the book for that? No way. Especially when the US Amazon hasn't budged. We'll see if they try to claw the orders back once the mistake is realized...

Wee that's bloody fantastic, if it is completely analog!!!! Ian Anderson DOES know how to make and record the greatest music. Feel free to buy me a copy if it is actually that inexpensive hahaha

Amazon Canada has the vinyl release at 29.99 ...and the US Amazon has it at 79.99. I pre order it from Amazon Canada, with my luck Amazon US will lower the price to 29.99. I did not want to take the chance and I really did not mind spending the 10 bucks for shipping, just to make sure I got it.

I'm surprised its still listed as such. When I posted earlier in this thread... I was convinced it was an error and would be clawed back...

I wouldn't be surprised about that, maybe it's a compensation for the lack of any Canadian tour dates this year. ;D

Wow, that's prettier than a good pin-up. You opening a distributorship? Does the Vinyl release come with a "larger book"? The CD package comes with a 7.5"x5" 105 page book and my eyes are old......I dont have much use for the vinyl but might go for it if I can get the larger book......hmmmmmm. Darin "lost his spectacles on a golf course" Cody
Any word from Jeff, Paul or Charlie yet?

Just heard from Charlie, he lost power at 4.00 am, sounds like he got flooded but I can't be sure of that yet his message was short, he's operating via a cell phone at the moment.
No word from Jeff or Paul, but I suspect it may be a couple of days before we do.

Darin "lost his spectacles on a golf course" Cody Darin, The double vinyl comes with a much bigger book but it is the same as the DVD/CD version in content. Unlike the Aqualung Collectors Edition, the TaaB double vinyl has NO CD or DVD with it, only the TAAB1 + TAAB2 albums. The CD/DVD edition has a booklet that is attached to the packaging.

I really do hope the pricing goes down from 80. That's not really my budget for records. :/

I figured it will become more affordable, but still, 80 is way more than I'm willing to spend, and I don't know how much less they will make it. I love Tull, and this release is great, but I just don't have that kind of money to spend on a record. Nevertheless, I will try to get it. I was really impressed with the Aqualung remaster. Perhaps I hint to a family member that this is what I want for Christmas.

A few days ago it was at $30 on amazon.ca. I haven't checked today, but I don't think their price has changed. For less than $80 I bought both TAAB sets and an extra vinyl, plus shipping
