Oh my!!!!! ;D
Stop what you are doing and listen to this....Jeffrey, Martin, Barrie, John and Ian at their utmost.
Go listen how good is Martin, how good was Jeffrey's bass, how good was Barrie and John, and of course Ian, this is sheer joy and is giving me goosebumps just as it did 40 years ago.

Given that this is MP3 over the web, this is pretty awesome, the clarity and freshness of the sound is for me pretty damned great. I am so looking forward to this release.
The guitar and bass sound sharp and strong, and the separation between intruments is so well defined. I claim to be no audiophile expert, but I know what I like and this is it, nice one Mr Wilson.

Absolutely incredible, what a dynamic sound from this mix. Makes this sound so fresh. Stunningly clear, I can hardly wait to hear the uncompressed version, even through a web stream and mp3 it so much more vibrant then the original. This shows off the band in all of their power. I am looking forward to this more than I looked forward to TAAB2. Wow what we missed in the 1972......

Absolutely incredible, what a dynamic sound from this mix. Makes this sound so fresh. I hear ya Charlie. "Fresh Brick Rules!" I want the full effect from my 8 speakers on this baby. It's like a sonic time-warp.

Thanks Charlie and Pat I just finished wiping the blood out of my ears and off my shoulders. I had that cranked as loud as I dare and not a crack, so clean, well separated, new life! I truly love the sound of Martin with no effect going straight into that HiWatt amp. Soooo him! I think I heard that he used a Strat on either Aqualung or TAAB I dont remember which, it's on his site somewhere. Over all: Full bodied, smokey with a touch of brick in the finish. The only real giv-a-way for the MP3 was during a couple of drum fills you could hear a flanging effect but the coming discs should blow these away, as good as they sound. Darin "Bricked up" Cody

I was at work yesterday when I saw the preview posted on Facebook, so I listened to it on my iPhone. Even streamed through my phone the clarity of the mix was astounding! I can't wait to hear it "for real".

Sounds damn fine in the land downunder too. PC speakers aren't the best and the left one is stuffed (children!!!) but it is so clear and even via this I'm picking up stuff I hadn't heard before.

I should refrain from commenting until I buy it, but I'm really pleasantly surprised with the clean-up job, and the remix isn't that bad as well (this is coming from someone who didn't like the Aqualung remix), can't wait to listen to the whole thing when it comes out! This remastering/remixing job should be a good preview to what can be done with A Passion Play (which is the one thing I'm really waiting for, since the original mix, unlike Thick As a Brick, sounds pretty messy).

I agree with you with the Aqualung mix. I didn't find the clarity I was expecting. But TAAB sounds great from what I heard.

I am ho ping that it is going to exceed expectations but I am sceptical. I am quite frustrated that no outakes have been included in the CD package

At this point, I'm very likely to buy the Cd/DVD collection first. If the price on the vinyl collector's set comes down, I will get it hopefully by Christmas. Dreams do come true at the Jethro Tull Board. ;D ;D starsdie.com/wp/tag/jethro-tull/
