After one year, the songs I can still listen to, without wanting to skip/stop are:
-- Swing It Far -- Adrift And Dumfounded -- Power And Spirit -- Give Till It Hurts -- Cosy Corner -- Kismet In Suburbia

After 14 months of pure enjoyment from this album, it doesn't look like I'm gonna stop enjoying it yet! Roll on 30th June!!!

After these comments, I'm happy to say that the entire Album is very well managed. The theme, the development and implementation, not to mention the music itself is the same!

I have recently given the album another listen, and I agree. There are less memorable moments, but it is a pretty damn solid release. I expect in the years to come this one will be rediscovered and remembered fondly.

I put on Banker Bets the other night and I have to admit I really enjoyed it. Now imagine if I put on Baker Street Muse.

I have trouble getting into it. Any tips or hints to remedy this?

Then again, I like much of Dot Com so I could be on my own little Tull planet....

You're probably like me. I think TAAB2 is decent, (although I don't like the name) I think there are some good songs on there and maybe it would have been a great Tull record. The problem for me is that it's trying too much to sound like a Tull album and it isn't. There is a certain authentication missing and it comes off to me as sort of a budget version of Tull. It doesn't sound like an Ian solo record either just a different band that wants to be Tull. Some great songs, ideas, Ian's flute is remarkable and I love that he's being adventurously creative again. But there is just something special missing. I agree in whole...........missing? What (or who) could you be referring to?

That could be the issue.
I've actually only listened through three times. With the CD, then live, then CD again. Wondering if it'll grow on me. You know, keep forcing it. haha.

I have trouble getting into it. Any tips or hints to remedy this? Drugs might make you get into it, but that might not be the best advice I've ever given. It may just be one of those things that come with time, one day you might pull it off the shelf and have a newfound love for it.

The entire concept of TAAB2 was a bit...odd. And I'm not talking lyrics here. The fact that everything was spelled out - every "i" was dotted and every "t" crossed left us little to explore or uncover on our own. Ian even went as far as to give the definitive review of the album, succinctly covering every moment and every detail that warranted mention on the album. Heck, he even went as far as to interview himself - complete with hopping back and forth between chairs as he played the interviewer and the interviewee roles. This was humorous for a couple of minutes and proceeded to feel rather strange.
But in the end, the music and vocals are pure present-day Ian Anderson. But what's sorely missing are the guys that make it Jethro Tull.

For all it's debatable faults and personnel issues, I found TAAB2 to be an album written in a style that I've waited more than 35 years to hear. The style of music that Tull excelled performing.
I find TAAB2 quite engrossing and certainly don't skip tracks after the needle is dropped. The thought of another Tull album in the same vein with a bit more dig is to be eagerly anticipated.,
All just my opinion of course.
