Here's a link to the TAAB 1 Part 1of the June 21, 2012 concert on You Tube The concert is in several different segments. I happened across it this morning and thoroughly enjoyed it! Quizz Kid touched on this topic about a week ago and unfortunately people making profit off these releases or distributing them before official release probably makes it less likely that Mr. Anderson and/or Tull Management will broadcast or record shows for future commercial release. After all, it seems only fair that the band and company that records, edits and pays the people to film these 'pro-shot' official videos should be the ones profiting from them. So before we go patting people on the back for being the first one's putting them on YouTube or selling them for profit on ebay or elsewhere, try to think about the overall impact these have on future releases. It appears that the show was filmed for possible future, commercial release but what's the point when it can be viewed for free or bought long before an official release becomes available? thejethrotullboard.proboards.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=tours&thread=3579&page=1Dan

I'm completelly against selling, but if somebody uploaded it I will not deny myself the pleasure of seeing it and even sharing with others. Fans buy stuff. Fans like official releases, artwork, booklets and all that stuff. Plus half of the show is not available.

I'm in agreement with most of that, a lot of fans want as much as they can get, but when it is stuff stolen from other fans which is then claimed as their own, or uploading video that they know was going to be released, it is more likely to spoil it for the general fan and others who may just want to buy official releases or get it in the best quality [with extras] that they can. I think it likely that it could affect a general release being made.
More often than not these people are doing sales behind the scenes, linking via PM's or simply trying to get some attention of having as many subscribers as possible, it's sad really, more people lose out from those who put stuff up genuinely for free use than gain in my opinion.
But why just view it there on YouTube, anything is fair game on the internet so these people claim: So get yourself realplayer, download it for yourself for free, edit it, polish it up and then view it as your own.
As an aside, someone recently sent me a pretty condescending email with a barbed suggestion to me about The Manual saying that fans don't want to view stuff with watermarks on them. Well the answer to that is we watermark images to try and stop a couple of thieves in particular using them. So, my answer to them is, ask their friends how they justify their taking of videos and images without permission, putting their own watermark over the originals and passing them off as their own. Surprisingly the person who said it to me actually used to watermark their stuff prior to trying to pick me up on it and in their own discrete way they still watermark their own stuff. They're sad really, I really couldn't be arsed to reply to him......as most of the stuff they do is copied anyway.

That's really not a nice thing to do. Ruins it for everyone

I'm one of those people who will definitely buy the DVD if it comes out, for the superior audio and video, which this music deserves. I was out of state this weekend, listening to the audio on a good rental car sound systems as I drove, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I've bought pretty much everything Ian has ever released over the past 40 some years and I did not feel guilty! This live version of the original TAAB is excellent, save for most of Ian's vocals, although it cannot compare to the 1972 performance, my favorite concert of all time.

I think if these are released on High Definition Blu Ray, then that's fine. The You Tube version is only standard definition 480p quality.

Plus half of the show is not available. And that is the half that I'm really most interested in seeing! Though of course this new footage is great. Saw it a few days ago in my recommended videos and was delighted.
