Really, why? It's got a more rock & roll feel so why not?

I say bring it back. How about you? I wasn't a fan of the rag. It should have worked but it just didn't for me. Made Ian look like an onion - not enough forehead. It worked for Roger Glover and other old guys but with Ian it's like too much of a costume thing and not natural enough. I mean, the Passion Play era was heavy in constumes but it was all tongue in cheek then. The rag was too serious. I rather liked the riding outfit of the late eighties which was a reprise of the SFTW era, which seemed natural for the time. I think IA should just go gray and wear old man's baggy pants. But then the rag sure beats the sleeveless top, tights and sandles of the 90s. That was so wrong. But then I can live with most anything except tank top, shorts and dress loafers. If that happens I'll turn in my Tull fan membership card.

I like the do-rags, and I wear them myself whilst riding which I don't often do anymore but I digress. But with that said let's have a quick look back at Ian's garb through the years.... The current look: TAAB 2 days:2010 1999

The current look: TAAB 2 days:2010 1999My own opinion is always somebody elses. But that's only my opinion. The current accountant/gentleman lawyer look is okay on casual day with festival seating but I think the charcoal trousers need to be addressed in venues with theater seating. In TAAB 2 Ryan's umbrella is obviously not plugged in so he is obviously miming. Either that or the curry he and Ian had earlier is getting payback. The 2010 gentleman pirate captures the evolution from pirate to accountant, and makes no sense whatsoever. Apologies were in order at the time. We can't see here, but I bet the shoes are polished. The 99 pic then is cool for having Martin in it, and dressed as a strat slinging middle aged man should dress. Not sure about Ian's fairy biker rig (he may have been considering coming out at this point). White vest and holding a flute whilst donning a rag and sleeveless white frock is as confusing as a chameleon in a bag of Skittles. Like the shades however. So, you're not riding much anymore? And I was thinking of sending you some original instrumental riding music for your ear buds.

My favorite of course is Satriani as you probably know. The roads in northern NJ are much too crowded with people who care more about their cell phones than driving. As for Ian's worst outfit let me go find it.....

A year? You are running the risk of becoming a novice. Even I have ridden within the last year and I don't even own a bike anymore.
Yeah I remembered you like satch, and so do I. Was listening to Super Colossal yesterday whilst mowing my three acre yard - Got one of those commercial Exmark zero turn things that cuts at ten mph - born to be wild indeed. I used to like some of the ZZ Top stuff when riding, the first Captain Beyond album, and even Yngwie.
Yeah, a young girl on a cell phone pulled out in front of me back in 07 and totaled my truck and banged me up - still haven't come all the way back from that one. Doing 50mph and suddenly being knocked at a 90 degree angle for a hundred feet hurts. Texting should carry the same penalty as drunk driving. I used to ride the Natchez Trace Parkway that runs from Nashville to Natchez MS. Constant gentle swirves for miles with no straightaways over a mile or so, and woods and farms all the way. Downside - look out for the deer. I nailed one of those near Nashville back in 95. Thankfully I was in a car and not on a bike.
