I remember it like yesterday, oct 12, 1974 my first Tull concert. Hooked forever!
Would have lover to come to the convention, but I'm afraid it's probably impossible. Have fun guys - and do film lots of it!!

Please pardon the following observation, which I'm afraid may rankle feathers and stir dissentions that I am loath to rankle and stir. And allow me to preface further by noting that this observation does not take aim at anyone, and particularly the fine graphic artists that assembled the convention poster, which is clearly expertly assembled with the best of communitarian intentions. Also, as an extemporaneous observation, I may very well find myself not standing behind or certainly not defending anything here. No judgmentalism, just a first-moment impression left from an initial glance. Right. I find the poster dripping with irony. Twenty-fourteen: the year Ian officially retires Jethro Tull, much to the chagrin of many fans, while at the same time cutting a new "Tull-sounding" album under his own name, sans-a-Barre -- for some, a battle line drawn. Enter the Warchild anniversary, the convention, the invited. And on the invitation stands Ian Anderson, alone -- space, place, face -- hoisting the Warchild standard, open-hand thrust forward, almost as if to signal "Halt! Block! Stop!" Perhaps the backside of the poster includes the image of Martin skating away? The theme, the timing, the imagery -- the accordion!, then, as now -- could scarcely be more ironic. Then again... In any event, I wish all -- the attendees, organizers, promoters, voyeurs -- the very best of convention experiences. I'm sorry I won't be coming in, as it would be interesting to one day rub elbows with my fellow rabble.

I understand, but do not quite share the opinion. We all have to move on. I was however struck by this part: the year Ian officially retires Jethro Tull ..... while at the same time cutting a new "Tull-sounding" album under his own nameRead more: thejethrotullboard.proboards.com/post/new/4126#ixzz3BnoznNm7I tried. I really tried. But I don't like HE. To me there is no Jethro Tull there at all. If Ian comes to Holland I'll definitely be there. I love to spend my money on anything Ian, makes because I got so much out of Ian - Tull in the past. But like "Under Wraps" was one I never got in to, I'm afraid HE is just the same. I'm not very dissappointed though, I love the fact that Ian came up with something new. My loss thast I don't like it. ' Pieter

Maybe the next one will.

Perhaps the backside of the poster includes the image of Martin skating away? Funniest thing I've read. it should have been on the front!

Maybe the next one will. I agree as well. I really like the concept and there are some moments that I'd listen to twice, but it certainly hasn't caught me. Then again, I have only given it about 1 or 2 tries... sort of out of the loop of things... just found out from the link you provided to their facebook page that Glenn's passed on
