I literally experienced extra Gs as a result of his bass solo during the 90125 tour circa '85. That and something passed down our row. A little of what you fancy does you good, or so it should. Thanks for the memories, and indeed, RIP.

Squire was one of the essentials of the Prog world - this one hurt. Something about those rockers born just after the war, from 1945 to roughly 1952 that brought in the most influencial and longest lasting elements to rock music. When Jaco Pastorious died, jazz bassist Jeff Berlin said, "Our champion is dead." I suppose a number of rock bassist can say the same for Chris Squire.
