I just saw the JHH was a member of "The Blades" way back in 1964 with IA and J Evan. What the hell did he play?! Cuz I remember IA saying in the mid-!970's that JHH was not a musician at all and, before he joined Tull for "Aqua" IA had teach him to play bass from scratch. So, what was he playing 7 years earlier?

Thanks for the link. But in his own words on this link he says , as of 1970, he was not a musician and was "technically ignorant on any instument and of music as a whole" before joining Tull on Aqualung. That's why I'm curious as to what he did in the Blades (which was 6 years earlier!). IA must be a great teacher to have gotten JHH to learn so quicly!

Dude, he was the inventor of the claghorn! How on earth could he have known nothing about music? I'm no expert on musician PR, but I've heard sometimes bands create stories about their members that are not necessarily true. My educated guess is that Jeffrey's case falls into this category.
