i was hoping it was a stormwatch tour dvd, i'll pass on this one. Same here. Seems like more of the same to me, very similar to another recent DVD they released. But if it were the Stormwatch tour I would most definitely buy it. In terms of sheer beauty and majesty, that is Tull's greatest album, and it was one of their greatest tours. Jeff

Jeff A 1979 DVD? sounds damn good... but actually... This is the concert. Germany, 1982. It´s OK for Youtube.... but nothing new. Cheers, Shark

Great thought! Stormwatch tour on DVD or blu-ray, please! I will lose sleep because of this thought or dream about it. (keep it quiet) The real Stormwatch tour was like lucid dreaming. Don't wake me. ;D

I have the Stormwatch concert in mp3 format. ;D A DVD of the performance would certainly be awesome to have though.
About 6 or 7 years ago there was a website called "digitull.com" which was sort of a Jethro Tull oriented version of napster...*cough-cough*...where people posted bootleg recordings of various performances dating way back to around the time of when the band was called "The John Evans Band." There was some classic stuff posted there, albeit some of the audio quality of the earlier recordings was really bad. I managed to abscond a few of the bootlegs, but was unable to capture them all before someone had the site taken down. I was using a dial-up internet connection back in those days because high-speed internet was not available in the area where I lived at the time...had I been on cable or dsl I would have most certainly snagged everything on that site. The Stormwatch performance alone took me the better part of 4 hours to download at the sweltering download speed of around 5kbpi...ROFL. It was one of those things you set up to do before you went to bed at night and hope that you don't lose your internet connection during the download...very aggravating to have to start the download process all over again...aaaahh those wonderful days of the 56k dial-up modems.

Thanks for the info Jeffrey!
Looks like a minor release, and probably a bootlet, as you said. Nevertheless if it eventually appears used or new on amazon for a few bucks, I'd get it for the value of the 1979 performance of Sweet Dream and Dark Ages alone.
