What would a Tull tribute band department be without a feature on Larry Curtis? Larry is well known to us for his many superb solo covers of Tull songs on youtube, but he also formed a band called EMP, for the purpose of doing a 18 minute version of TAAB, in three installments. Check out EMP's killer Brick right here, trust me it's great: We will posting more of Larry's truly excellent work here in the future, and we expect that the "SilverHamer" himself will be joining us here very soon, as the call has already went out to him on FB! Check out Larry's myspace page too, at: www.myspace.com/larrycurtismusic/videosJeff

SilverHamer is in the house! Thank you, Jeff, for such a cool intro. I am extremely honored and I am certain the other members of EMP will be equally honored. I must, however, clarify something about EMP. The original founders of EMP are Mark Estes (bass) and David Presley (keyboards). EMP started out as an online experiment and it worked so well that EMP has grown into a six-member international collaboration. Jakob Wimmler lives in Graz, Austria, and Graham Seaman lives in Liverpool, England. The rest of us are scattered across the USA, ie, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Texas, and California. I was very fortunate to have stumbled upon MarkE and David on youtube back in 2006 and they invited me into the fold, something for which I will be eternally greatful because these guys RAWK. Due to "Real Life" events, however, we have not been producing much lately and we still have several "pending" projects which we hope to complete as soon as we can. You can read all about the EMP Project at the Hawk Studio website, www.thehawkstudio.com/There is also a page dedicated to our TAAB project where you can view the videos and read commentary by those of us who participated in it. www.thehawkstudio.com/index.php?categoryid=13&p2_articleid=15&phpMyAdmin=25be301f3c48be067890a6e98d4d4bfaI will pass the word about this feature along to Jakob, MarkE, and MarkD. I am quite sure they will be totally thrilled that you have done this. I cannot thank you enough. LC PS. We can blame Martin Barre for piquing my interest in Hamer guitars...I used to be a die-hard Gibson man, but that changed after I played my first Hamer. ;D
