Wow I hardly ever hear Tull on the radio (given I don't listen to the radio around here much) let alone all of these songs! I've only ever heard Aqualung, Locomotive Breath, and rarely, an excerpt of Thick as a Brick. It would be great of Classic Rock stations played the lesser known songs from the artists that they've been playing for decades now. They just go over the same stuff.
This would have been great to hear.

Yes it would. I get tired of the same old songs too. Have you seen the jack in the green?

Wow, guess who used to play sax and flute in the Don Harrison Band!!?? Was it you Darin? You win yet another prize Jim! I have no idea what but I'll come up with something! The Don Harrison Band was made up of the ex-members of Creedence Clearwater Stu Cook and Doug Clifford with a guitarist name something, Duschon or DuSchell. They recorded a couple of albums, opened for the Stones and did some pretty big tours, then the CCR guys went on the CCR revival train. Don recorded a solo album on another label (Capitol) produced by Ken Scott using LA session guys and then set out to hire local guys to tour it in the west and I got the job playing Soprano Sax (Why did I have a Soprano Sax?) and Flute. He had a radio "hit" with a remake of the Beatles' "Helter Skelter" in 77. It wasn't really my cup of tea (dear) but I was being paid to play!......Capitol did not support him much and he just slowed to a stop. A couple of the guys were pretty hot players. We where rehearsing stuff for another album but the label wasn't interested. It wasn't punk or disco and that was getting bigger and bigger. It was a lot of fun though. Darin

That's great stuff Darin. Good gig, and love the 70's threads! I bet you can nail the Passion Play sax parts?

Darin Great story of a real musician. I was picking my brain real hard this time. I think you had mentioned this to me earlier but I wasn't 100% sure. Glad you shared it again.

That 1981 Radio show was awesome. 5 stars! The radio station I listened to was about 70 miles away. The reception was fair to good but somehow I was able to listen all the way through. Excellent performance with Eddie Jobson on several instrumentals.
