Surreal image of John O'Hara. He reminds me of the "Phantom of the Opera" in concert. Gosh Jim, your right!......except that O'hara is a handsome devil and his face isn't disfigured and he's not living in the Paris Opera house and he doesn't have a cape......or a hat.....or a kidnapped woman or a mask and last I heard O Hara hasnt murdered any one. Pretty much just like him. They both play the organ though, but that's pretty much it. You know what? he could also remind us of John Evans! He was a guy who used to also play organ, on stage with Ian Anderson, playing Thick as a Brick even. So it looks like they have quite a bit in common with each other...........For those unfamiliar with surreal ideas, this is why John O'Hara reminds me of the Phantom. His stage presence and mannerisms are almost dreamlike. He becomes enraptured with every note. Of course John is doing what is natural for him and not trying to copy anyone in the past. Unlike those who live in the past, I enjoy the fresh approach to many things including Tull. Next time I compare someone to the Phantom, I'll put a disclaimer... "Use Your Imagination" ie...Claude Rains / Michael Crawford p.s. "But your wrong, Steve, you see, it's only solitaire."

These are some of the nicer Tullish pics I have seen in a while. That is a great ghostly glow type filter. Wonder if it's literoom or photoshop? Thanks for sharing Paul! Your very welcome Erin, but we really owe our thanks to Michele for making these available to us. I'm just the messenger! I can't imagine that Photoshop is not being used with these. But whatever it is, they are very very good.

They are really great sharp photos, I'd love to see the straight shots without all the filtering. It's nice but a little too much all the time. When the filter outshines the photo........... Overall really nice, Thanks Michele Darin

[color=Hmmmm... So I'm Living in the Past?
I would like to go out on a limb here and make you a wager and I'd like to pose a question to the board at large.
[color=Okay boys and girls, let's all use our imaginations and "pretend" that the show that Ian is touring now, TAAB and TAAB 2 with the current line-up of the Ian Anderson Band is playing in your town this weekend and you have been given front row seats (for free!!) ORRRR...... You get to use my time machine (for Free!) on the same night (so it's either or) to go back, and use your 20 DOLLAR 10TH ROW CENTER TICKETS TO SEE JETHRO TULL LIVE ANY YEAR BETWEEN 1970 AND 1979, YOUR CHOICE This is a one time only offer!!!
WHICH WOULD YOU CHOOSE? Jim I will bet you you $100.00 current day american dollars that a majority of the members on this Board would opt for my time machine. How about it?
Darin LITP Cody (Please pardon the use of large colored type, as I am yelling....just this once.)

No offense to all the other great Tull and IA solo members but if I could pick one line-up to see live it would be 1972-1975 Tull.

Nice This is in no way meant to degrade any of the current or past members of the Ian Anderson Band or Jethro Tull post 1980. It is no different than picking your favorite album, album cover or least favored album. This choice just happens to involve a Time Machine and the ability to go back and see a concert you've already seen or one you always wished you could've seen. Simple as that. Darin Cody

I have to say, if the option were there, I'd say set the controls for either the heart of The Rainbow on 14th November 1974 or the previous year, 23rd July 1973 at Wembley,
Now Mr C, get to work on that Flux Capacitor.
On the other hand a blue Police call-box outside wouldn't look amiss at either location.

Well done Darin! You've finally come up with a great idea for Tull Time Travel. Now if you can make sure there is a way back to 2013, I'd be glad to join you. My main point about John O'Hara seems to be lost on your way of thinking. - His stage presence and style reflects a true dreamlike quality which was evident in the Phantom of the Opera. - The cool Photo of the Day with John O'Hara had a surreal enhancement by the photographer or photoshop. - This would be more in tune with Claude Rains or Michael Crawford's interpretation. Now as far as ticket prices go, I would prefer 1972 - 1975 prices. But those were the days. Also, I would only wish to go back if my hair would return to it's original length and fullness. Maybe some hair extensons? All things considered I might still go with what I've got. Now in addition to the usual supplies needed for such an important trip, 2013 quality green from California or Colorado would be far superior to the 70's dirt weed. Although you are free to disagree. ;D As far as other enhancements, it's your trip. My other requirement would be a brief trip to October 12, in the year 802,701. That is where I can rescue Weena (Yvette Mimieux) from the Morlocks. She is too hot to not save. ;D All aboard, We're on our way! First stop 1968 and every Tull show I missed. Tull Party for sure!

Oh shit. I forgot to vote. I'm going front row center for any of Jethro Tull's Ian Anderson or Ian Anderson's Jethro Tull gig there is. But the ultimate would be on February 6th in Barcelona. Remy will be there with the Tullianos. WOW!~ I'll use the time machine after there are no new shows to see. Also, if Martin Barre's New Day is available I'd like front row to that too.

However Francesco created these pics, he must have a very good camera and lens and a steady hand.

When we get a working flux capacitor . I would want to at least go to an exotic location.....hhhmmmm maybe since they did not play in Tahiti at all in 72,73 or 74. It leaves less options, but I would say July 15 1972.Japan. With all the Kobe beef I could eat. It would not be a proper road trip with out some otherTullian's.fans. So I would have to have Darin, Pat, Paul and few other to tag along...Now that would be fun. Oh then there would be a concert, that we would understand the jokes without the cue cards that everyone else in the audience, needed to get. A the "TULL" Classic line up of..Ian, Martin,John,Barry and Jeffrey...hell what a time we would have....Hurry and get that fixed ..Lets Go

Yes, Charlie informed me that this thread was locked yesterday which I can tell was not done on purpose. I'm not sure what caused that, but all is well.
And several more pics to come, and I must hint that some are amongst the best of the bunch!

Unchained and Unlocked! "On stage, there they are matchless! Ian Anderson that famous Fagin cum Captain Hook moves with drunken abandon in phases of sexual intoxication, his arms and legs flailing, his eyes bugging out like uncut diamonds. His shaggy hair dancing merrily in ringlets, waiving his flute like the pied piper of all lost innocents. Andersons strength consists in his ability to evoke a mounting atmosphere of a lurid bubbling frenzy--all the while making a music that is delicious, idyll, totally structured yet carefree, sharp and delicate." 1970 Beyond Woodstock A promotion for the album Benefit. This had hung on my walls for 20 years. Almost fell to pieces until I scanned it and repaired it.... Now lets get back to that Time Machine.....

Beautiful shot, so clean and sharp. Francesco (if that's who it was ) was shooting from multiple locations. He's very good.
