Eddie Jobson recently launched his music subscription club, where fans pay an annual $20.00 subscription fee, and then are entitled to benefits such as cheap downloads of new music by Eddie and his various projects, which include the UK reunion, UKZ and U-K. Another benefit is getting to meet Eddie at organized 'meet and greets' after his shows. Unfortunately, neither Paul, Mike or myself were "Zealots" when we saw the UK reunion show a couple of months ago in NYC, otherwise we would have been able to meet him. I am joining now, though. As many people know, Eddie left the rock business to record themes for television shows and jingles for commercials for almost twenty years, before returning to touring and recording in 2008. The last time he had walked out on a stage before his return was in 1989, when he did a surprise, one-off guest appearance at a Tull show in New Jersey, playing electric violin on Heavy Horses and Budapest, on the night that the Berlin Wall was torn down. I guess he recognized the monumental changes in the music business that occurred while he was away, and that this was his best chance of promoting and selling his new albums and concert tickets.
