When "Big Tull" broke up in 1980, David Palmer, John Evan and Barriemore Barlow briefly formed a band named "Tallis" and they recorded an album which was never released.
This track, Disturbed Air, is from that album. A Tull buddy of mine burned it for me from a free disc that was given to AND subscribers about 10-15 years ago I think. I have no idea who sings on this track. The space shuttles have been in the news a lot lately, and by coincidence I listened to the song and it struck me that the title and music fit the Challenger and Columbia disasters really well, so I made this video. You've got to turn the volume up right from the start to get the full effect.
It's very sad, what happened -- especially since both tragedies were caused by what I consider to be the criminal negligence of NASA. This video is meant as a tribute to the astronauts who lost their lives.

And according to Dee Palmer, the master tapes for Tallis are in the possession of former Tull engineer, Robin Black and hope the entire project can be made available someday. Dan

Interesting stuff, if a bit "soft" without Martin Barre's guitar giving the sound a bit of grit. I hope they release more.
