Ian Anderson‘s house is haunted. Or at least the Jethro Tull leader has good reason to believe that it’s haunted . Sitting in the dining room of the very old but modern-updated “Bucks” home in the English countryside for this interview on the 40th anniversary of 1971′s Aqualung album...... www.inthestudio.net/this-week-in-the-studio/jethro-tull-2

Not that I'm scared of ghosts, this seems a little coincidental. I have yet to meet one, but I have an open mind. I believe there are some things that are beyond science. This may be a true encounter with the other world.

People like Gautama Budda, Jesus, Apostle Paul, Walt Whitman and Balzac tend to bear this out. I have no use for mainstream religion. Too hypocritical in every sense. Will they ever stop driving me?

I used to be very, very skeptical of the whole ghost thing until I lived in an old house in North Beach, MD with my dad called the Marshall House. I'm so glad I don't live in that house anymore. Honestly, the idea of ghosts being left over etheric (or other) energies that still bounce around an area where they once manifested physically isn't so far off to me, but it probably is to some people, and I guess this isn't a thread debating what "ghosts" are huh? It's fitting of Ian to live in a haunted house. Maybe he'll write a kickass song about it. Great picture, jtull07. Related and slightly spooky indeed.

Ian believes in Ghosts. He remarked about his dog acting weird when going for walks out in the countryside. That was in the documentary "Fish, Sheep, and Rock n' Roll". Maybe we all have experienced strange events that cannot be explained. I feel there are times when things are too coincidental which is like synchronicity. If the universe has parallel dimensions, we could eventually cross over without knowing. It's scary only if it we don't understand it. My Father-in law(preacher) thinks every part of the Bible is perfect and no other explanation is needed. I can't depend on 1 book for all knowledge. We would still be living in the "Dark Ages" without science. Yet science is only the exploration of what reality is. Let's keep exploring.

And maybe others also. I was brought up in the southern hell fire Baptist tradition. Always dreaded being forced to go to church. The Bible is vague on many subjects. I personally don't believe it anyway. Tull heaven please! And the graven image you know who.

This is a post made by synchronicty. The earlier pic I posted with Ian and the Haunted House, was coincidental to most logical thinking. So now I post another version of "In The Studio" as though it were meant to be. These radio shows were great! I love them all and they have commercials too. Ian is explaining his music and lyrics. Coincidental yes, synchronicity maybe?

We would still be living in the "Dark Ages" without science. Yet science is only the exploration of what reality is. Let's keep exploring. Well if you look into certain aspects of Quantum Physics, the so called "scientists" have found that reality is actually very user-dependent, and that we only experience this reality because we are tuned to it's frequency, but there are many other simultaneous realities (yes this is western science I am talking about), so in modern scientific terms the way to explore reality is through our minds. To me science is just a way of observing energy where coincidence is highly probable, but it by no means explains things in itself. Science did take us out of the monotheistic ages, but it sort of put is into this weird nihilist/atheist/consumerist society with little faith in anything but identity, fashion, products, etc. In the end science has just come to prove right the theories passed down from the nomadic shamans from before the christian era. So thus I agree with what I think is your suggestion to stretch the mind beyond science Whao, sorry for such a trippy post, dudes!

A personal view of what our mind perceives. If we can expand our perception, then other forces can be seen. It is not a religious point of view, but a natural ability. If you can see or feel ghosts, then you have a gift of perception. The only thing is, others will think you crazy.

Totally. And people thinking your crazy may work to your advantage if you percieve your reality the right way

Hmm, why are they "so called"? I really think Physicists deal with multiple dimensions, not multiple realities. Science did take us out of the monotheistic ages, but it sort of put is into this weird nihilist/atheist/consumerist society with little faith in anything but identity, fashion, products, etc. In the end science has just come to prove right the theories passed down from the nomadic shamans from before the christian era. Hmm, I would like to think that Science deals with hypotheses and theories that are not accepted as fact until scrutinised by peer review - at least ideally. It's society that's then responsible for all the "weird nihilist/atheist/consumerist society" we have. (with which I agree with you!) Whao, sorry for such a trippy post, dudes! Don't be, it's interesting! Geoff (Physics Teacher)

I wrote that a while ago, and I honestly can't remember why I called the scientists "so-called". I probably had some clever (or at least clever to me) reason in my head at the time, but reading it now, I have no clue. It seems as silly to me as it does to you. I don't know much about dimensions, so I can't really say much about that. Dimensions versus reality is something I'm not really equipped to muse on, cause then you get into the whole objective reality thing, and then a rhinoceros sits on your shoulder and reads you a car owners manual. I see where you're coming from, but "popular" science (as far as I can tell) has led society to view things in a fairly materialistic and "fact"-based way, and the way I see it, when people feel (or rather have the illusion) that everything can be explained scientifically (which I know is not what science is about) and not by any god or entity (or panpsychism, or whatever), we tend to search for identity in things like fashion, cliques, fads, etc. because otherwise, there doesn't seem to be much purpose. That's probably a very black and white way of looking at it, as are most ways of looking at things, but that's how I look at it, it's my identity damnit! Kai (car loader)

Newt Ginrich could be sitting on your shoulders and reading the Koran (Backwards). I've come down from the skies to Cry you a Song.
