I thought we had already covered every known Tull tribute band on the face of the earth, or at least the three dozen or so who have an internet presence. I was wrong.
Somehow, I forgot about Seismic Ring, who played at the 1990 UK convention. A fellow by the name of GoodOldErnie posted a bunch of videos of Seismic Ring performing at that convention. They are:
Broadsword:
Thick as a Brick:
Living in the Past:
Aqualung:
Seismic Ring also played at the 1997 US convention in Vermont, along with Rat Race Choir. Their flutist, Steve Dundon, later joined the Irish alternative folk band Molly Bloom, and has also appeared on one or more of Guy Manning's albums.
Now, if I can only find some Heresy videos.....
Jeff
P.S. Finding these Seismic Ring videos led me to the discovery of a brand new British Tull tribute band, called Slipstream, recently founded in 2010, by Keith Boswell, who apparently also was the Seismic Ring flutist/frontman at one time. Slipstream is from the Northwest of England. Separate thread to follow!
