Andy's really a terrific guy, but if I'm not mistaken, wasn't he himself one of the sources of those "rumors" about the manner in which he and Jonathan became "less involved" with the band? Anyway, I guess things have been patched up, since he's back on the official site, and I'm glad about that. In a recent interview (I think the one Paul posted with Ian discussing money), Ian referred to Tull as himself, Martin and Doane and various others players who come and go, without mentioning Goodier and O'Hara as permanent members. I found that curious. Is it just possible that Andy may return in the near future? Jeff

Something fishy going on here.
So Andy's services are no longer required. Andy is naturally bitter. I've read his messages on his myspace page. It was clear he was pissed off about the manner he was fired. Typical Ian Anderson no explanation style. A couple of years later, Andy is now featuring on the Tull website homepage with positive attention. Ian must be after something. Maybe Andy had struck a deal with Ian not to mention 'that indecent ' in exchange for a Tull site link. Maybe Ian has figured out Andy was in fact an asset and wants him back. Like I say, something fishy going on with this one.

He's much better off keeping things friendly with Ian. Think of all the hits his myspace page gets now that he's on the Tull sight.

And I think you may be right about Andy popping up again somewhere on a new Tull or IA album in the future. Jeff

Jeff, we are both Tull fanatics. I bet we have more in common than not!
Anyway, you're optimistic. Do you actually think there is going to be a new Tull/IA album for Andy to play on?

I agree....we are Tull brothers after all. Nice to have a "fresh start" with you. As for a new album next year, that seems definite based on a recent Ian interview (see New Tull/IA album in 2010 thread). However, Ian has been promising us new material every year, and it never seems to happen. So I'll believe it when I see it. Jeff

A couple things to keep in mind this time.
1. Ian recently invested in new recording equipment and 2. Ian has not had a record company for quite some time. As long as this EMI deal goes through I think it's definite.
