Today I start a new songs list off, this time about Wind or Winds or A Whatever Windy fact. Naturally the top of the list is already occupied by our loved amazing Jethro Tull's Cold Wind To Valhala song, also reviewed it on another outstanding thread opened about it. This thought came up my mind after sufferin' a hard struggle against a terrific wind by riding on my bike on my last outing. and it occured and my Brain worked it out. ;D
Definetely awesome and front of the row:

What about "Old Ghost" getting blown through the eye of a hurricane... Or how about .. Weathercock...." when the leaves spin from October and whip around your tail ; did you shake from the blast, did you shiver through the gale?" But, I forgot that the thread is Top Rock Songs and nobody likes this stuff except for us. Dan

Wow, new Tullish friends are gettin' involved into this musical windy fun. Thanks to all. Jim, hands down this is a great accoustic song. Tir Na Nóg were occasionally supporting band of Jethro Tull. Look through your cave for some more windy tunes Pat, I listened and enjoyed so much on facebook your post of Midge Ure's Living in the Past rendition, brilliant the Midge's windy song you've thrown here. Derek, "Old Ghost" is perfect for the thought. The main concept of this thought is that wind stuff is treated whether on the song title or on any reference along the song. Both are available. Thanks for taking part. Young's song is a masterpiece, a forevermore musthave for my ears. Great throw. Dan, a Bob Seeger's great and very well known tune. Great find. Thanks. Weathercock is an excellent one for the game. Put it here yourself. When I say rock it is spanning other differents styles, as progressive, or folk. Thanks for taking part. Paul, glad to know you liked it. Get mixed up with. Anew a Genesis' tune, from their Top of Rock Albums of History, "Lamb Lies On Broadway" - "Fly On A Windshield" There are plentiful of them "on the air" ;D ready for unwrapping it.

"Wild Is the Wind" is a song written by Dimitri Tiomkin and Ned Washington. The track was originally recorded by Johnny Mathis for the 1957 film Wild Is the Wind. The song was very popular and was one of five songs nominated for an Academy Award; it was sung by Johnny Mathis at the March 1958 Oscar presentations. It was later covered by Nina Simone on the album Wild Is The Wind (1966). David Bowie recorded a version of it in 1976 for his album Station to Station. Bowie was an admirer of Simone's style, and after meeting her in Los Angeles was inspired to record the song for his album. Nina Simone - Born Feb. 21, 1933 Tryon, North Carolina - Hey that's where I live!Great song Pat. ;D David Bowie made it better. ;D

Well done, chicas y chicos!! (boys and girls ;D ). The windy songs are emerging charmingly for this entertaining game and so we enjoy a bit while we all are waiting eagerly for the great release of the next month of April, TAAB2 !! What a wonderful time ahead!! Pat, breeze is an acceptable term for the subject. The definition in my english dictionary is clear, breeze = gentle wind. Brilliant Roxy Music's song, a band that I love as you do, however they made a big shift of musical genre along their career, from progressive rock style to pop music one, with a big success on both of them, have to say it. If I have to choose a song from the progressive era, hands down it would be that one (no connection to windy subject, it's just for checkin' by all of you how marvellous is) : Bowie's Wild is the Wind has been an enchanting find for me, nice song. I didn't know it. Thanks "Quizz Quid" ;D Passion Play, you got an excellent choice, as Derek has said. A really good blues song by Mick. Thanks for taking part on the role. I believe many top rock windy songs will be soon emergin' from our blowing minds. ;D Great finds you also got so far Derek. Jimy is always present on the games I have accomplished by now. Recall the train songs thread. Chris Rea's is perfect for the matter, a great song. Kansas's was a tremendous hit, lovely tune, excellent finds. Wow Darin, collosal voice the singer has and excellent playing by the Heart band, wonderful song about winds. Great find. Thanks for involving into the game. Jim, you nailed it with Ian's El Niño. This is a good example of the great amount of songs about winds without mentioning the word on the main title of the song. Good "blow" amigo Pat, Water's has been another great find by you, a singer I know you worship a lot. Wonderful song. . thanks again. I stumbled fortunately with an outstanding Camel's one, Air Born. I add some lyrics of the same one to demonstrate it does deal with the main subject. You see the sea feel the sky Don't know where you're going You don't, you don't know the answers To what's in my mind Riding on the wind and turning with the tide Don't be late, men, Throw your one's self blow!! A free drink for all the contributors ;D
