I purchased the Isle of Wight DVD awhile ago, but only recently sat down with it and saw it straight through. What a tremendous performance that was....incredible what great musicians they all were despite being what, about 22 at the time.

The sheer energy alone from Ian is pretty incredible. Although he did admit that maybe he was a bit over the top for this particular show given the circumstances, but he certainly was something to see.
Incidentally The Isle of Wight show did get quite a bit of airplay on PBS last year.

I have that too. The performance is great and wild. I would have hoped more music and less rockumentary. Most Tull DVD:s could have more music in them. Is Ian saving the footage for future releases?

I don't have the DVD but I did see a good bit of it a friends house. It really was superb.
I did purchase the CD though, which was always really intense to listen to. Sheer energy and force all throughout. That album definitely doesn't fail to deliver. It's funny how all these bands who scream at the top of their lungs and turn their amps up to high volume today cannot achieve the power and force of a band who exerts energy with passion and song.

I think he´s waiting for all humans to die first so he can release more music. I´m a bitter Shark today

It is really great! I not only love the music, but the interview with Ian. It is like he is taking you back in time. And I can't help but crack up at the footage of Terry Ellis telling the stage manager, "dont' blame the group!" etc.
