Thanks Derek, for this great opportunity, and thanks also to Mr T.Ellis It would be very interesting to ask about the future of Jethro Tull as a band, of course with Martin, as he sees it the relationship of the two most important members of J.Tull.

Great job Charlie with this Q&A! Okay, so let's delve right into the good stuff shall we! Hello Terry, Past Tull members have spoken about the meeting you had with Ian, Martin and Dave when they presented the Under Wraps album to you; stating that you didn't exactly give it a ringing endorsement! Could you please elaborate on that and give us your thoughts on the album and how it affected Jethro Tull's relationship with you and Chrysalis Records. Thanks you! Paul from New Jersey

Hello Terry, We had a recent discussion over the photograph used on the back of the War Child album. The members of the band including yourself were dressed in costume as part of that design.
Do you recall anyone that would have been dressed as Queen Elizabeth for that photo?
If so, can you verify the actress that played the part?
Also, with the stories of Jethro Tull breaking up after the 1973 Tour, did you have any influence on them?
And lastly, do you have a favorite album from the years at Chrysalis?
Thanks for being part of Jethro Tull's success. Jim Tryon, North Carolina

Hello Mr. Ellis First off I would like to thank you for taking part in our Q & A. I've been a long time fan, hooked since 71. I have two questions for you. 1. Concerning the photo shoot for the back of the Warchild Album. We see all the band members (including yourself) dressed to illustrate the song titles in the studio together but it is clear that the image of Ian in the back (in stage garb) has been cut and pasted in, as was the "Sealion"... That being the case, where was Ian in the live shoot? Could he have been .....The Queen? 2. I've heard you tell the story of being at the Sunbury Festival in 68 and having the jaw dropping moment of realizing Tull was on their way, and what a great story it is. Was there another moment later in their career at a Tull show that made you go "wow" They have really arrived? Or just another very notable moment that you can relate. (In 300 words or less please, we're trying to keep this short ) Thanks very much for your time! Darin Cody

First off I would like to thank you for taking time out of your busy schedule to answer some of our questions..
I was wondering how you and Chris Wright met and the problems and difficulties you encountered forming Chrysalis records. Also how hard was it to secure distribution rights with Reprise records and Island records? Thanks again

Terry, Thanks for giivng us the opportunity to hold this Q & A with you.
My questions are about those early days as well.
The likes of Brian Epstein and more latterly Allan Klein established the role of the band manager into a different league. many, like Peter Grant seemed to be more 'Hands on' then others, you and Chris Wright always seemed to be leagues apart displaying much more business acumen and nous than the rest.
What was your background in terms of business management, did you and Chris Wright have a business plan or was it all played by ear?
Of the stable of bands that you pulled together what was it that attracted you to Tull? Were there other bands that you thought had the potential of Tull but who didn't break through?
Somewehre along the line every businessman wishes they had done something differently , if you had to pick one such, 'I wish i could have done that differently' moment during your tenure in Tull management what would it have been?
Finally, Do you miss the Music Business, Chrysalis and Tull?

Terry, thanks for the opportunity and your contribution to Tull over the years.
A) what do you think of Ian revisiting TAAB with TAAB 2?
B) with all the changes in band personnel, do you think Tull would be in a different place if Ian had not made the changes he did? Given your answer to A above, do you think TAAB 2 should have been made with the 2011 Tull line up?
Thanks!

Hi Terry another question for you...
I have been a collector of Jethro Tull 7" records for over 35 years. my collection has releases from over 30 countries and well over 300 titles. I was wondering who determined what songs where going to put on the record and what country it would be released in. Also do you know or know where I could find out every 7" release and the country of origin.....Again many thanks for your time
Charlie

Hi, Terry Q. What was your reaction when you first heard Under Wraps in Ian's studio? We've heard that it was, to put it mildly, not good, and that you may have been just a tad "over-refreshed" at the time. What is the story behind that? Seriously, how did you feel about the album, what complaints did you have about it, and did you eventually warm up to it upon further listening? Thanks, Jeff, from New York
