Czech cousins, plays mr. Jethro Tulls songs in the way, how they were rearanged by their granduncles. veverky.jethrotull.cz/Thick as a Brick - Bratranci Veverkove Naturally, we've already done a thread on these guys, where we were joined by band leader Jeffrey Veverkove himself, here: thejethrotullboard.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=tribute&action=display&thread=1110If I'm not mistaken, the band interestingly takes its name from two Czech cousins who were 18th century farming innovators! From the band's website: Bratranci Veverkove, Frantisek (1796) and Vaclav (1799) Veverkove cousins were Czech peasents, craftsmans, inventors and musicians. They framed unit called "ruchadlo", the first modern plough in middle Europe. Many informations gather more educated Frantisek from correspondence with grandson of mr. Tull, from whom he get fragments of Tulls musical ideas and of course, his revolutionary book Horse-hoeing Husbandry. More information, here: veverky.jethrotull.cz/frame_en.htmJeff

This board was started in reaction to some "exalted egos" that we encountered on another Jethro Tull forum (which is now extinct), so believe me, we don't ever want to be like them! For that reason, we have a strong policy against deleting any posts by members (except in extreme circumstances), and like I said, we don't worry too much about duplicative threads here, for the reason you mentioned. The board is simply too large to know whether a thread on a given subject already exists. All I meant to do was to point out the other thread to let you and other members know that there is additional information on this band elsewhere on the board! (That's why I also included the link to the band's website, i.e., for informational purposes) None of your posts will be disturbed or moved! Jeff

Remy, you are wrong this time, Jeff was just showing, always in friendly ways, that these bands were already posted on previous messages in order them to be known by new members . Under no circumstances he was trying to underrate or delate your remarkable finds. Go and reconsider your drastic posture and keep on rocking here with your interesting posts, we need your participation and wise contributions, you're a high-informed Tull subject member as we've all checked so far. Continue buddy ! As you know I respect your opinion, but I think a personal message is more correct to take a thread, instead. I've seen my posts published elsewhere and never occurred to me to do a quote for publicity me ... Also being shown to one of the threads of Jeff was in the wrong place, my other post adds two previously unreleased songs, I still think a personal message was the right thing to put the songs in place I also feel that despite our friendship we are speaking English in an open conversation ... ¿No hubiera sido mejor hablar en español en facebook por ejemplo? Realmente tengo que decir que estoy decepcionado. Remy
